OSU/UM Rivalry
If you are an Ohio State fan or a Michigan fan you'll enjoy the following. The brothers of Lambda Chi Alpha have been having an online war between OSU and UM for the past week or so. It's pretty funny.
I don't watch much college football, so I did a little research. Here is what I've gleaned from that research instead of fixing computer problems at work: A buckeye is a tree. Trees are rugged. They serve a purpose. They turn CO2 into O2. We can make paper out of them. We can burn them to make electricity or heat. Trees are made of wood, which is a great metaphor for the giant boner you get in the morning. Wolverines on the other hand, are dirty little woodland creatures. They have webbed toes just like inbred bumpkins from Appalachia. Basically they feed on carrion and eggs, the sort of catfish of the woods, if you will. And according to the Minnesota Zoo's website, Wolverines have "anal glands [that] can spray foul-smelling liquid." To me that sounds like a natural defense developed against the anal-rape of over-zealous UMich fans. Thus, I am left with no choice but to go against the grain of most of the house and cheer for Ohio. A state which otherwise sucks because people there can't drive for SHIT.GO BUCKEYES!
Response:
UMich is Gay Don't forget. . .trees just sit there and consume. That, and grass and "wetlands" make more O2 out of CO2 then trees. Wolverines, on the other hand, will kick your ass every day of the week, and twice on Saturday. I wouldn't fuck with one of those things. By the way, the Buckeye that OSU refers to is the nut from the tree. That's it. Not the whole tree. Just a nut. Little. Round. and POINTLESS. And you know what? Most football fans expel foul smelling gasses from their anus, so what the hell's the difference?
I'll post more as I get them

As far as I remember, since John Cooper's stint at OSU, most of the fans don't care if they finish 1-10 as long as that one win comes against Michigan.
I can't fathom a great rivalry like that. My HS didn't have football and SDSU isn't good enough to have a rival. We say it's BYU but they're out rival in OUR eyes. To BYU we're just that school who's ass they kick every year.
Florida v FSU, Oklahoma v Texas, Texas Tech v A&M (Which will be awesome with the smack that was run last year and in this year's media guide), all great rivalries.............

Ok State went I believe 3-9 or 3-10 last year. But since they beat Oklahoma it was considered a "successful" season.
It's a great rivalry... But I don't think there's anything like OU-Texas. The stadium is divided on the 50 yard line.. On one side that burnt orange looking color and on the other the Crimson and Cream. A really awesome environment and a great weekend to be in Dallas.

Texas A&M has one rival, t.u. ITTech is more like the whiny kid down the street that keeps trampling over your lawn after you repeatedly ask him not to.
The red raiders are more an annoyance then anything else, and are desperately trying to create a rivalry with ANYBODY, just to validate their place in the Big XII. Their actions last year(tearing down goalposts and ramming them into the A&M seating section IN THEIR OWN STADIUM) proves my point. A rival is someone who you have respect for, but still want to beat the pants off of. I have no respect for anything i've seen done by the matadors.
That being said, they do have scoreboard on us, but i expect that to change this year in Kyle Field. I can handle an occasional loss to Tech, but a loss to t.u. eats me up.

Well, I love what that article says in A&M's media guide, calling Tech fans "classless clowns".

FSU has 2 huge rivals...Miami and UF.
The UF rivalry is definitely deeper, but I think with Spurrier gone it will be a littleless intense. We play in Miami this year, and if they stay number one, that game will be huge.
But have no fear...the 'Noles WILL win the National Championship this year!

Could be the survival of the least inept this year. And Colorado was supposed to be so good...

Y'all forget all about UGA-UF! It's kind of taken a back seat to Florida's other rivalries in the past few years, but it is very heated. We even play it in a nuetral place -- Jacksonville, FL. The stadium is divided in half, much like ktsnake mentioned above with the Texas vs. Oklahoma game. I have a feeling that the game this year will have more significance than those in the past few years...
We have a lot of rivalries, but I think most UGA fans would agree that Georgia Tech, Florida and Auburn are our most hated.
UGA vs. AU is the south's oldest rivalry.

Living in the heart of OSU country, I quickly learned that beating Michigan was the most important thing. I think beating IU is almost as important, but not quite. They take football VERY seriously around here, but basketball doesn't rate as highly as football. I'm definitely in the minority being a Kentucky fan, but that's okay as long as Kentucky keeps beating Louisville!
For you Florida State fans, how the heck did they LOSE last night? Darn it all, they were supposed to win that game!

I'll watch part of this game. Unfortunately, my girlfriend plays her senior flute recital that evening. You'd think she'd understand that I have priorities.. but no.
