Question Valentine Romances

Valentine's Day is just around the corner and this is one of my all time FAVORITE holidays.

What was your most memorable Valentines Romance.

My story goes like this:

It was two days before Valentines Day and I hadn't heard from my boyfreind all day. I figured he was busy with class or something so I didn't give it another thought. It got pretty late so I decided to call it a night. The next day was the same. I was calling all over for him, which is something I never do, cause I hate looking like I don't know where my man is...but anyway, I still couldn't find him. It was getting later and later, and by 11:30pm I had put on my jammies and gotten into bed. I was really too pissed to sleep so I watched a little TV to help me doze off. At 12:00 on the dot, I hear a knock on my door. It scared me because I had just kind of dozed off. Needless to say, it was my boyfriend at the door. He was out there lookin soooo handsome in a nice suit, with ballons a stuffed bear, and a single red rose symbolizing our first Valentines together. He came in and told me to grab my coat and follow him. I was so excited I didn't have time (or didn't really want) to put on clothes so I just grabbed my jym shoes and my long wool trench that were by the door and followed him down to the car. When we got to the car he blind folded me and drove some 20 min to a nice suite hotel on the outskirts of town. He had been arranging this for the past two days because when I walked in and he uncovered my eyes, the room was decorated with flowers, flower petals, candies everywhere, ballons, and he had a nice bottle of chilled champagne, not to mention a garment bag with one of my dresses in it. We had a wonderful morning (and day). That night, he took me to one of the nicest restraunts in the area. He had made reservations and had already ordered our meals. After dinner we went back to the hotel, finished the champagne and enjoyed the rest of the evening just being together. He took me back home the next day early that morning because I had class. That was truely the best Valentines I've ever had.

What about you?

Serenity_24, that is too sweet!
I have two valentine stories, one that SUCKED ROYALLY, and the best one that I shared w/ my soul mate

v-day 1: sucked royally
I came home after having spent a lovely V-day eve w/ my then boyfriend. I was floating on cloud nine, and it was really early in the morning by the time I got back to my dorm room. I opened the door and to my surprise what did I see? NO, not flowers on the bed, teddy bears, or anything like that.
My roommate had lovingly pushed her bed along side mine. She and her psycho boyfriend were sprawled across both beds, butt freakin naked, celebrating their OWN valentines day. nuff said.

V-day 2: the best day ever!
I was on a 1 year study abroad program and ROYALLY DEPRESSED. I missed my life back home, and was just sick of the whole thing. So valentines day rolls around, and I was sinking deeper and deeper into utter miserableness. My soulmate calls and tells me he has a surprise for me. He had purchased a ticket to come see me!!! He got off the plane w/ gifts and candy and we spent 5 glorious days together on the beach. Needless to say, the rest of the year flew by, and I was much better off.
hehehe...Virtue is in luuuuuuuuuuuuuuuvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv!

Sniff, sniff, yall got me teary eyed!

I can't say that I've truly been the recipient of Valentine's Day luv! However, I've given a pretty good one. One year I sent my valentine an invitation that requested his attendance at a special event on Valentine's Day. He was instructed to go to a certain location that would give him futher instructions. In short, he went to 3 additional locations that sent him to his final location. I'd rented a hotel room at the Wyndham in Georgetown (DC). I had rose petals leading from the door to the bed where I rested in a lil' black somethin. Candles were lit throughout. I also had fresh fruit and some of his favorite finger foods! I feel kind of bitter about this because this person truly didn't deserve the effort. Oh, wellll - we live and we learn!
