A Sad Day For Sigma Gamma Rho
Sorors,
NPHC Family,
Greek Family,
and friends,
I have sad news. Today, Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc.'s last living founder, Most Honorable and Beloved Founder, Soror Vivian White Marbury has passed away. This is a time of great greif for my sorors and myself. I just wanted to take the time to let the Greek Family know that we have lost a beautiful and strong woman. Most Honorable and Beloved Founder, Soror Vivian White Marbury was 100 years old. In 1922 she, along with 6 other beautiful and intelligent woman fulfilled a vision by establishing Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. on the Campus of Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana. Her memory will live forever in our hearts and her legacy will live forever in the name of Sigma Gamma Rho.
Peace and Blessings,

i'm very sorry and express my heartfelt condolences to both sigma gamma rho and yourself personally. this must have been a hard loss for you. you last founder...wow. you learned from her, however, as i'm sure she influenced you in her lifetime and yours. keep her spirit alive, as well as the spirits of your other founders through your newer sisters. again, i'm very sorry.

Hello all and thank you so much for your caring commments.
We were blessed to have her here for 100 year! A century! Who can blaim God for deciding that it was time that he had a chnce to meet this wonderful woman. We have had her here with us for a long time and we were truly blessed.
I know we will all miss her, but like it was said earlier it is even more important for us to now continue to live out her legacy through the new ladies we meet and contact and those around us everyday
Also I have received an e-mail stating that we all go to work, school, etc. dressed completely in Blue and/or Gold and wear our official badge ( only with correct
clothing) or a pin or a yellow tea rose so that the world know even with a small gesture like this one that she meant the world to us.

Deepest sympathy on your loss. Ourlast living Founder, Ruby Leigh Orgain, passed away during my Junior year in college. It was a time of great sadness.
I know you and your sorors will continue the fantastic legacy left to you by Miss Marbury and your other Founders.

Greetings to the Ladies of Sigma Gamma Rho!
My heartfelt condolences go out to all of the Ladies of SGRho. Regardless of the organization, the death of any Founder is a loss felt by all BGLO members.
Please take comfort in knowing that Sister Vivian White Marbury is in God's Kingdom rejoicing with all the of the Founders who preceded her.
