MORE magazine features Theta alumnae

Just happened to pick up a magazine today called "More" - in its Dec/Jan issue, there's an article called "The Secrets of Theta Sisterhood."

No, it didn't divulge any secrets....but instead, it was about a reunion between the girls from the chapter @ Colorado State who pledged in the 70s.

It's a nice article - always good to see a positive piece on greeks in the mainstream media!

Thanks for posting this. I'll alert our HQ, in case they haven't seen it yet, and I'll be on the lookout for it myself.

How nice to have some positive Greek publicity for all of us! (especially about members who joined in the 70s, when Greek membership declined so much).

I'm not familiar with MORE magazine. Is it new?

Anyhow, that's great for Thetas!

How exciting! I'm from Colorado State, and actually know a bunch of the Thetas from the 70's who helped out our chapter and were local alums! I can't wait to read the article!

I'm not sure... I was in a lunchroom the other day & it was there in the magazine stack.

There was also an interesting pictorial of celebs & their daughters, modeling the same piece of clothing, ie Andrea McArdle (the first to plan "Annie" on Broadway) and her 15 yr old daughter.

As far as I can tell from the website, it's a lifestyle type magazine for the over-40 or -50 set.

I really enjoy reading More (even though I'm not quite yet in their target market). It's hard to find, and I can ususally only get it at airport newsstands.

A little over a year ago, the magazine had a great feature with Jamie Lee Curtis. She had herself photographed with no makeup on and in workout gear to prove that even she doesn't look glamourous without a lot of professional help. Nice to see a celebrity debunk the myth of perfection that we so often see in the media!

But certainly not "fuddy-duddy/frumpy" types... it's definitely for the Moms (of teenagers, not toddlers) who work in professional careers.

Actually, that was Mode, which ceased publication in 2001. More comes from the same people who do Ladies' Home Journal, one of the old classic women's titles.
