Cooks and Menus
What do you/did you think of your cook? Did you have gourmet? Or Mystery Suprise? What was the most "inventive" meal you ever ate at your House? Also, what about your menus? We are trying to add some new dishes to ours, so give your suggestions, we need 'em!!!!

we dont have a house but whenever we go on recruitment retreat there is bound to be a sister getting sick. maybe cuz we are in the desert and it is blistering hot and the food doesnt sit well with anyone. like last year everyone got sick onone of the days and all we could talk about in conversation is how upset our stomach was. but i rather be with my sisters bonding then sitting at home doing nothing.

We have regular cooks. As far as I know, a couple girls in the house get to make the menu for the week. Our house mom, I think, decided what we eat for chapter dinner.

Our cook made grilled chicken stir fry with white and fried rice tonight-- it's delish and my favorite.
She also makes an amazing glazed ham with lots of goodies and a Cake, and a "Thankgsiving" dinner with all the fixins and pumpkin pie. She does this once a month for a "birthday" dinner for all the girls in the chapter.
Also keeping frozen pizzas around for those picky eaters and when the food is gone and girls are in class or work are a great idea. Need any more? I have tons

What do cooks do for vegetarians that live in the house. Do they make them a special meal w/out meat. Just curious, we don't have a house but when we have a banquet we always have a vegetarian option.

Sometimes. For instance if it's spaghetti there's two sauce options. There's a lot of grilled hceese and soup and salads that anyone can eat. She always has canned veggie soup and macaroni and cheese and cheese pizza.
My concern is low carb, and no red meat!!! Very rarely do we have red meat or pork in the house, which is aweosme!!! I love chicken and we have that all the time!
