Spring RUSH is starting....

SO last night was the second event in the post-spring rush schedule.

They had panhellenic tea earlier in the year, where about 100 ladies came out to get some information about the GLO's. Then last night they had the first group of "informational parties" with us and KD going first, next week is PM and SK. Our skit was really cute, the theme was "My Big Fat Greek Life" since this round is GO GREEK. We couldn't wear letters or anything, kinda silly but the point is to get the ladies to want to sign up for RUSH. After Winter Break, they will start the big "GO US" push.

This weekend is Fall COB initiation and RTS, so the collegiates have a fun filled weekend ahead. Then since not all the COB girls can make it, due to different complications, they get to have another one on Monday at meeting time!!!

The chapter has two LC's. Katie (I think, sorry) she flew in last night and I guess she is staying through the weekend to help wtih RTS and prepare the officers to give their office over in a few weeks. Then we have MOM, she knows who she is... so the chapter is set.

Well... since I didn't get the write a RUSH story, I figure that I will write about the Alums experience.

The other dates for RUSH are January 9, 10, and 11 is work weekend. Then the real fun starts with Open House on Wednesday, Philanthorphy night on Thursday, Skit Night on Friday, Pref on Saturday, and Chapel (Bid) Day on Sunday afternoon.

Is any other chapters rushing in the Spring? I would love to hear how other chapters handle defered Rush.

I can't help myself! I know all of us want to use the current and proper Alpha Gam terminology....it's recruitment, not rush. It's a hard habit to break, but if we don't use the proper terminology, then our collegians won't. And we all want our collegiate sisters to be 100% Alpha Gam in every respect, right?

The PC terms of life

I understand where you are coming from but when I am writing something that isn't formal, I don't feel that it is improper to use RUSH. Now if I am writing something that is to the chapter or to the "Q" then I do use the pc terms. It is just easier to type 4 letters instead of typing 11 letters.
I just think of it like this... PNM vs Potential New Member!
