Does anyone know where I can find out what schools have rush second semester?
I know most schools rush in the fall but does anyone know where i can find a list of schools that have deferred rush? meaning they have formal rush in the spring instead of the fall. or if you know of any schools that have rush second semester just let me know. thanks!

My school, Eastern Kentucky University does, and I believe Centre College (also in Kentucky) does.
I cant speak for Centre, but EKU has the formal NPC rush in the fall. Then all chapters have a more relaxed rush in the Spring. There are still NPC recruitment rules, but they arent as strict as in the fall, and you go to the parties you want to go to, instead of following a schedule like fall rush. But preference night is by invitation only though (atleast it is for Theta).

It would probably be easier to pick the schools you are interested in and then contact their Greek life office or look on the websites. There isn't a list on the NPC website or anything. Some sororities do have lists on their national pages, but of course that is limited to only the schools where that sorority has a chapter.

ETA: The sororities are AGD, KD, PM, SK
The frats are PHA (local), Phi Tau, KA, Pike, Lamba Chi Alpha

Well, since you're at SMU, you know they do--last I heard, so did TCU and Baylor. Out of state, there are several Eastern universities like Vandy, Washington and Lee, Duke, and Wake Forest.

In Wisconsin I know both Marquette and Lawrence do, and I wouldn't be surprised if some of the other private schools did the same. In Illinois, the only one I can think of off the top of my head is Northwestern.

Indiana University-Bloomington has semi-deferred recruitment. The whole process begins with round 1 (19 sororities to visit!) in november. The rest of recruitment takes place in January the week before classes start for the spring semester. It's one wacky system

Washington University in St. Louis has deferred recruitment. I also know that among schools not mentioned yet, Purdue U. does recruitment like Indiana (with a period in the fall and spring). And I'm almost certain Emory U. in Atlanta does deferred as well.
A good place to check out more schools with defferred formal recruitment is to look at the national Delta Gamma website ( www.deltagamma.org/). They have a listing of when all of their chapters do formal recruitment.
Hope you find more schools that way!

Valparaiso University (NW Indiana) has deferred formal recruitment. The seven sororities there are:
Alpha Delta Pi
Chi Omega
Delta Delta Delta
Gamma Phi Beta
Kappa Delta
Kappa Kappa Gamma
Pi Beta Phi
We also do informal recruitment in the fall (one week long, NPC rules, but each sorority determines the number of parties they have (if any))
