"On this date in Elvis history"

Further proving that you can find anything on the internet, I found this for Oct. 16 at "On this date in Elvis history"

1960- Elvis breaks his finger playing touch football at Graceland.

Shortly afterward he is inducted into Arkansas State College's Tau Kappa
Epsilon fraternity in a ceremony at Graceland. Although he originally
conceived of it as a publicity stunt, and something of a goof, fraternity
president Rick Husky is surprised at how moved Elvis is by the ceremony and
convinced of his sincerity when he confides to Husky that he wishes he could
have attended College himself. After the presentation Elvis takes the group
out to see his new Rolls Royce while also downplaying its significance by
telling them the maid had called it "some old black car".

FYI

Because of the Broken finger Elvis had to sign the scroll with his left hand. Making it the only Lefthanded signature of Elvis. Also you can see the cast on his hand in the Teke Guide.
