TAKE THEM OUT!!!

Your age does not matter. I got married at 23 and people had mixed feelings about whether or not I should get married or not. You know how you feel and you want the planning of your wedding to stress free. If these people are that envious and jealous of you they should not be standing beside you on one of the happiest days of your life. I think that if they can not say anything positive, they may not need to represent you or your future husband.

Post WEDDING ETIQUETTE #3

YES, YES, YES........ANOTHER ONE.

I was wondering if anyone have experienced when you tell people whom you are close to you your getting married, they are rather melancholy about it.
This is the case one of my bridesmaids and I am both experiencing. We are both getting married and we have noticed that those that are rather "phony/fake" (is that a word?)are the ones that are not in a healthy relationship or not in one at all. And of course everyone has his or her opinions. Some think we are too young (23, 24 respectively), and some just don't have anything good to say. We have decided that we are not going to let anyone rain on our parade. She has it worse because her people are a bit envious of her anyhow. But our own maid-of-honor's has the same attitude. They both have been in long-term relationship since high school that has gone absolutely no where. But she and I have moved 3,000 miles from LA to DC (seperately) and have been very successful. What advice do you guys have about how we should handle a situation like this? Of course we want our weddings to be drama free, but how do we gain the support that we are looking for. It is important that everyone in my circle (Wed. party) happy for me, or rather I want them to all be happy for me...

Wink

that's hard because you can't really make someone be happy for you. hmmmm *scratches head* well if they are acting out then i would say give them a little talk about how important this day is to you and that you want them to be apart of it, BUT if they continue to act shady or not show you love and support, then they can find something eles to do on that day, perhaps a trip to the zoo would be a good suggestion, lol just kidding, don't say that

Whoo!

Jaismom, you scared me. When you said TAKE THEM OUT!!! I got nervous. Where I am from, TAKE THEM OUT (especially with exclamation marks) has a whole different connotation.

Take them out of the wedding...okay, that makes much mre sense.

I would agree. If people cannot be happy for you and the decisions you are making as a grown woman to marry the man you love, then they should be removed from the wedding party. YOUR HAPPINESS ON THAT DAY IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING!

I was nervous.

LOL, Deltabrat.

I hope and pray that if you do not remove them from the wedding party that they become more supportive. Best wishes to you.

All of you are so crazy!!!!

Well after a long weekend in LA, I am feeling alot better. I had a heart-to-heart with my best-friend and she told me how happy she is for me and my son and my fiance. It was like she knew how I felt and she made everything right without me having to say a word. Thank you ladies for the advice.
