You should try the water diet. I don't recommend eating anything with it.

I watch what i eat, beign a diabetic my diet consists of low fat, fat free, sugar free, or reduced sugar items. I also avoid fast food whenever possible and when i cant watch where and what I order. I also am mindful of serving sizes and how much fat and calories are in each serving. Then I never eat pork, and ground beef is extra lean, and I cut excess fat of chicken, and never eat the fat on a steak. I also cook with either olive oil, or fat free Pam cooking spray.....I'm also mindful of ingredients in particularly "hydrogenated" and "partially hydrogenated" oils due to trans fats(fat that is not usually accounted for in the fat content on the labels)

I also drink only skim milk, water, and 100% fruit/vegetable juices.(also again being mindful of serving sizes, except with water). I lost 4 pounds in water when I cut out soft drinks alone in my diet.

I also take a multi-vitamin and lots of exercise, and I try to put more physical activity in my day for example, taking teh longer way to class, parking far from the front door of a store, taking the stairs when it's three floors or less(unless i'm feeling fat that day and i'll take all the stairs) etc.

forgot something

Also, when you eat especially out to eat where they give you larger than normal portions anyway, eat till you arent hungry anymore and not until you are full. Take what's left over with you home and eat it for the next meal or later on then you dont feel guilty about wasting food. PLUS you feel better knowing you didnt pig out and you dont have the "god I feel so fat, why did I eat all that food?" feeling.

The Workout Diet.

It is really cool...

All you have to do is raise your heartrate or an hour a day... by working out (anyway you want).

Eat whatever you want at a sensible level.

The pounds melt away.

I am being 100% serious.

I've mostly cut out the really bad stuff like sweets, chips, etc, and I don't eat out too much. I've been doing it for almost 11 months now and I've lost about 20 lbs. I don't stick to it as well as I could, but overall I do. What worked for me the best is I weigh myself every day and write it down. That way, I know if I need to cut back more on a particular day or if I'm ok and can treat myself. This also worked for my husband, who has lost 45 lbs. Good luck!

Great idea... I agreew with this one. One thing to be careful of, is the weighing part. I have known many a friend to become addicted to the weight issue. If you are also working out, most likely you will put on weight, but lose size. This can be misleading. This is due to the muscle gained is much more dense in comparison to the fat lost. Nothing wrong. Keep your diet very open, start cutting things out, and you start stunting your metabolic rate. This sounds gross, but you also lose weight after using the restroom, and gain after drinking water, so be aware of this. Don't drink a quart of water and then be upset that you gained 3 pounds. Go the healthy route. It can be slower, but you keep it off. Otherwise, you will battle weight for the rest of your days...

Although not diabetic I have chosen the sugarfree diet as well. This means no refined sugars and no "white" carbs meaning that I only eat whole wheat breads, brown rice, no white potatoes - only sweet potatoes... It is slow going for about the 1st month then the weight just starts dropping off.

I used sugarbusters as a reference although I am not quote as militant. Also, Suzanne Sommers' sommersizing diet is quite close. So far I have lost about 20 pounds. My goal is another 10, but 15 would be better (would ensure that size 4 I want to get back down to...)

I'm on the Dance Dance Revolution diet-eating right and playing Dance Dance Revolution. I lost a lot of weight over the summer doing it.

Diets don't work.

You have to modify the way you eat. That might be a matter of choosing smaller portions or cutting down on sugar or whatever, but if you only change how you eat for a limited period of time and then go right back to it after you lose your weight you will gain it all back and then some guaranteed.
