Master's in Public Administration

Anyone know someone or have a career in Public Administration? And anyone have or know someone with an MPA? I'm starting to look into the master's program at CalPoly but don't have any experience yet, and I'm wondering if anyone can offer any advice or information. This is really scary for me, but I would like to get involved in it. Thanks!

HI There,

Can't tell you much about a career with Public Administration but I am working on my MPA now. The program at CSU Dominguez Hills is well know within the Public Administration field and with members ASPA as being a good program.

Public Administration is a combination of Political Science and Business. The CSUDH program has a stronger emphasis on the mangement side. I think this will serve me well while doing job searches with the public sector. But if I decide not to work for government or non-profit organizations any more, then a Pub degree will be a good crossover in to the private sector.

I say go for the MPA.
