I went to my high school reunion tonight, and I was just wondering if anyone has stories to share from theirs... if you've had them/ attended.
As for mine, hubby got dragged along and was surprised to see it was held in a bar... no surprise to me. Anyway, one of my classmates left her hubby sitting with us for appetizers -- limited seating, and our husbands are close in age so I guess she figured he'd be more comfy.
We left our husbands to chat while we mingled and tried to determine the identity of a few 'mystery classmates' (and spouses).
I checked on my husband from time to time, making sure that he wasn't completely bored to tears, and it looked like he and the other husband were talking quite a bit, so I wasn't terribly worried. Of course, I had no idea what the topic of conversation was. Turns out the other guy did nothing but gripe about being there the whole time...drinks were too expensive, he had to drive to another town some distance away and my classmate was spending too much time gabbing, what have you.
Mine being the good husband that he is, said I don't ask a lot of him, so it wasn't going to kill him to spend a few hours with people I haven't seen in forever.
I just wish I had been closer to the table to catch the reaction.
