Rudey,
There was a different but linked thread in the past, it dealt with those statistics used to promote greek life which we've all seen; some of the info. in it may be useful to your search.
Link.
Broader greek life statistics may as DeltAlum correctly pointed out be found at the NIC site. Plus, some other useful greek statistic sites are Gamma Sigma Alpha's info. on their
website which gives sources. A well-known resource is
the Center for the Study of the College Fraternity; both seem to concentrate primarily on published PHD research.
Additionally, some resources you may like to look at which relate a little more closely to the hazing versus survival rates topic, follow.
One site,
HazingLaw, is the site of a US lawyer (who looks curiously like Tom Hanks) who regularly litigates in cases and may be useful as another jumping off point for your explorations.
A very well known site dealing with the issue is of course the
FIPG. They may very well have in-depth data on the issue brought up, and may be receptive to giving you some further material if you contact them directly.
ZBT Fraternity produced an excellent FAQ (
link) pointing out their Supreme Council has withdrawn charters of over twenty chapters for violations of their risk management policy. Some other NIC/NALFO/NPC/NPHC groups may produce similar?
Finally, "Security on Campus" -
link is an excellent site; it deals more with the issue of security and crime on campuses period, as opposed to just dealing with GLOs. It mentions the "Clery Act", that requires colleges and universities across the United States to disclose information about crime on and around their campuses and provides search functions. In essence there is information out there in one form or another.
There is not a great deal out there in terms of cross referenced research but of course many examples of incidents. Good luck with your search.
