Talking CNN Poll on Approval Ratings of Bush...

I was watching CNN tonight and saw that they did a poll on the approval ratings of Bush, Cheney, and Powell so far. It's a shame that Powell has a higher approval rating than the President and Vice-President Elect. I know that this is a preliminary poll, but I think that this should tell Bush what the majority of Americans really think about him and his ability to get the job done. Personally I feel as though Powell will be running the show. As Secretary of State, you deal a lot with Foreign Policy. I don't feel that's one of Bush's strong points. While I feel that Powell is well equipped to do the job, I also feel that Bush chose him to try and apease African-Americans in this country. I think he had that idea from the start, and given all this election drama he's definitely needing him now. I just hope that we as blacks don't get fooled. It's great to see African Americans in cabinet positions but it won't be Powell and Condaleeza Rice in the back rooms making policy. We need to hold both parties' feet to the party. I just thought I'd share this tidbit of information with my fellow Greeks. One Luv!!!

I wonder about the statement the United State s is making to foreign powers when we choose to send one of our highest ranking generals overseas to conduct diplomatic talks.

I look at it differently. I think those colored appointments were more than just social chess moves. Those were smart moves on Bush's part. Colin is more than qualified to do the job. He, in fact, added credence to bush's election. Every country he deals with know that Desert Storm was Powell's accomplishment; thus, they will respect him. If he is assasinated, he's black; therefore expendable-in spite his qualities.

Codoleeza is another story. I haven't quite figured that one out yet.

I hope neither is related to Clarence. That would be sad.

Yeah, Bush had them all at his mansion in Texas. I haven't quite figured out Ms. Rice yet either. I didn't like her speech about one America. Nor did I like when she said that Bush's admnistration will be one of inclusion. If anyone is related to Clarence, right now I'd say she would be it.
