It's great to see African Americans in cabinet positions but it won't be Powell and Condaleeza Rice in the back rooms making policy. We need to hold both parties' feet to the party. I look at it differently. I think those colored appointments were more than just social chess moves. Those were smart moves on Bush's part. Colin is more than qualified to do the job. He, in fact,added credence to bush's election. Every country he deals with know that Desert Storm was Powell's accomplishment; thus, they will respect him. If he is assasinated, he's black; therefore expendable-in spite his qualities.
Codoleeza is another story. I haven't quite figured that one out yet.
I hope neither is related to Clarence. That would be sad.
