Question Songs You Can't Listen To

Hey All! Today I dug out my copy of Mary J's "Share My World" and couldn't listen to 2 of the songs because they were just tooooo full of memories. "7 Days" and "Missing You" got listened to and cried to WAY too much my freshman year for me to be comfortable listening to them again.

I just wondered if I was the only one to have this kind of list? The song comes on and you switch the channel automatically? Do any of you ever get back to listening to the song again?

I have recently begun being able to sit through Brandy's "Have You Ever". Of course I also happen to dislike the song itself, but once again, bringing back the memories. Quite a step IMO!

To this day, I can't listen to "Always and Forever" because it reminds me of my first boyfriend (it was "our song").

It is hard for me to listen to "(Baby That's Why) I Love You So Much" by Monica. I heard it last night and it just take me back to Sp. / Sum 94.... .

For the longest time, I couldn't listen to "My kind of Girl", by BabyFace. Long story. Anyway, now whenever I hear it, it makes me smile with memories, instead of ache with them.

Unhappy

To this day I cannot listen to John B's "They dont know". My Ex used to sing that song to me all the time. Of course that is before he slept with his long time "friend" and got her pregnant. .....now I whenever I hear that song I get the urge to do some damage to someone....

Hurts the Most - Monica (from her new CD). Makes me think of an old love. I love the song but it is hard for me to listen to the whole thing without tearing up.
Mama - Boyz II Men : reminds me of my grandma (RIP 1994)
One Sweet Day - Mariah Carey: reminds me of my brother (RIP 1994)

I CANNOT listen to Diane Reeve's "Better Days" (the one about her grandma). Its too close to my grandmother, and when she died, I heard that song on the radio on the way back home for the funeral (I was inPhilly) and almost had a coronary. That was in 99. I heard it earlier this year driving to the doctor, and I almost had to pull over. That was actually kinda unexpected.
