Graduation and "REAL" Jobs

Well ladies it's that time for me, I have started to revise my resume and am getting ready to send them out as I start to job search.

I gradute in May with a degree in Agriscience specalization in Animal Science. We have a lot of Animal Science girls, and a bunch of Ag Ed girls.... but none in my situation.

I think I know what type of job I want to go after, but do you all have any suggestions of companies I should look at? I want to make sure I have throughly explored all types of jobs before I have my heart set on a certain one.

Sigma Love,
Allie

Well, what sort of things do you like to do? Are you looking more for sales, research, etc.?

I really think I want to do pharm sales. If not I can only imagine working in marketing or PR. I really am a people person What can I say, I have no issues talking to a total stranger.

I just don't see myself doing research, and I defintly don;t want to sell feed or seed. So I'm kind of wondering what else is out there?

Well I have some news, since I only have 10 credits next semester I went ahead and applied for two intership positions at Phizer yesterday. I also have one of my profs looking over my resume and cover letter for some critiques and will be send them to Certified Angus Beef for a marketing position next week.

Allie-

One option for you may be extension and/or technical service representative positions. People in these positions help others to effectively use a companies product, as opposed to selling the product. Just a though. NB member, Stacie Buhr, works in one of these positions with Pioneer Hi-Bred.

Best of luck to you.

Sisters,
Robin
