I confess a chapter-rooted soft spot for the "Inspiration Boogie", as it always appears at our MIT Recitals. I learned it, my bigs learned it...ah, yes, Sigma Omega goodness.

The Bennediction is also one of the loveliest songs in our entire book, really. So simple and stunning...I'm morbid, but it's one of the songs I want played at my funeral because it really sums up everything I've wanted out of my life and want for others. I love that piece so very much.

Song book

Pan in Canon was written for the Sigma Chi Chapter so we sing it all the time, plus its the easiest.

We have another song called "To the Rose" which is awesome, written by Jeanine Hutchenson. We are going to try to get that submitted to Nationals so that it will be in the song book for others to enjoy.

I think my new favorite red book song is SAI Garden. I sang it for the first time at Convention and it's just so beautiful it moved me to tears! Plus, when we were all singing(all 900+ of us!)in the hotel lobby, I looked around and saw all ages of sisters singing their hearts out and it just meant the world to me to know how many sisters are moved by that song. I think now that every time I sing it, I will think of Convention.

For those of you who didn't go, wow, you missed quite an experience. It was the most wonderful 5 days of my life!
