Sorry to invade, but I thought I'd help...
My big made me both the album with the frame on the front and the planner. They are pretty easy to do. All you need is:
*An album - kind that looks kind of like a 3 ring binder (for the planner by the short 3 ring binder plus the day runner inserts that fit)
*A couple of yards of the fabric of your choice (cotton works best)
*A hot glue gun
*A roll of batting (cotton ball looking stuff used for quilting - make sure it is a roll and not the pull apart kind)
*Ribbon and Ruffles that match fabric, Wooden Letters for decoration (optional)
*For the frame on front get a Pre-cut picture mat in the size of your choice.
* A piece of poster board
1st - open the binder and lay it face down flat (so that the outside is facing up) and hot glue a layer of the batting on the outside of the album - this is the padding
2nd- Measure fabric so that you can wrap it around the outside of the album and glue it down on the inside cover then cut and glue.
3rd - (this is for the frame) Pad the mat with the batting and then wrap the fabric around. Glue the sides and bottom part of the fabric covered frame to the front of the album.
4th - (Optional part) If you want the album to tie together cut two lengths of ribbon and one piece inside the front cover and one piece inside the back cover.
If you want ruffles line the glue the straight part of the ruffle just inside the insides of the cover so that the ruffle sticks off the top of the album.
5th- Cut two pieces of posterboard so that they are the size of the inside flaps of the album
6th- Once your done with all of the gluing on the inside covers of the album...Hot glue fabric on the posterboard pieces Then glue the posterboard on the inside covers of the album so that it covers the mess of stuff you have glued to the inside covers and makes it pretty
Just make sure to pull the fabric tight so that it is nice and smooth. Also make sure that you allowed room for it to close. I am no where near crafty and I have successfully made both the album and the planner...
