Cheese!

OK I am not trying to start a North/South, East/West debate. Just a general informative question. Is it just in the southeast where EVERYBODY puts cheese on EVERYTHING? I tend to think cheese is not the best tasting thing in the world except in homemade macaroni and cheese.

I love cheese. At the house when we'd have fajita/nachos night, I'd only eat the nachos because I don't like fajitas. But I'd make a huge plate of nachos and sprinkle the cheese all over it and then melt it. Then I'd have some of the rice and sprinkle some cheese over that to spice it up. I'd also put some cheese on the corn too.

Love the cheese. It's that way here in CA too. I have a friend from Ireland that makes fun of Americans for wrecking everything with cheese. I love it!

I hate cheese. However in Columbia it seems like everyone puts ranch dressing all over EVERYTHING, which is even worse. So I guess I'd rather have cheese.

The primary reason I will never become vegan:

I love cheese (along with most dairy) too damned much.

I'll put it on anything, or with anything. No Velveeta or American for me...just the "good stuff." Cheese is effing awesome.

I don't know if it's a regional thing, but I think it might be an American thing. Even in Italy and France, putting cheese ON food wasn't standard. Cheese as its own dish, yes.

I LOVE CHEESE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I personally could eat cheese as a meal or eat cheese with a meal.... MMM... I love cheese and practically almost all cheeses. (None of the overly horrible smelling ones)

I don't drink wine, but when people have wine tastings I still like to go so I can have lots of good cheese... and bread... and olives.... and.... Yeah, I am done with this message so I can go eat some cheese... (J/K)

This thread makes me want to go out and get some brie and crackers. I'll have to do that tomorrow!

I love cheese! Muenster slices with prosciutto ham and french bread is one of my favorite meals! I love bleu cheese on salads (my friends say it stinks, but I love it), I love baked brie, even grilled cheese sandwiches...

As long as it's real California cheese, I'm happy... but sometimes I can deal with that stuff from Wisconsin or somewhere else... GeekyPenguin knows what I mean... and we're not hippies in California!

I eat sharp cheddar on Ritz crackers almost EVERY day....

I cannot eat cheese on burgers anymore, though...

And I cannot eat cheese with any "white" condiment : mayo, cream cheese, sour cream, etc

I love muenster and cheddar cheese melted on a bagel as well!

I love homemade mac and cheese!!

Cheese, I just love cheese - really I do!!!

My absolute favorite dish is baked macaroni and cheese. I can sit and eat a half pan of it in one setting if you let me.

God bless the person(s) who invented cheddar.

The Washington Post had an article last Thursday on how to grill, sear, or fry cheese. Not on bread, not with another food item, just a block of cheese itself. I tried it Sunday night, frying mozzerella. It got a wee bit messy but it was very good.

and FAB - I can't eat pizza anymore without dipping my crust in ranch. Yummm

Cheese is great....

Speaking of which, I was watching the Food Network (well, my mom was actually and I was just in the room with her) and they had a show about the HAMBURGER. They went into depth about ALL the condiments that go onto it...etc. They showed how the Wendy's team comes up with it's 'secret' ingredients.... it was VERY interesting.

PS. On average, each person will consume about 3 bottles of ketsup a year

I have seen people put cheese on chicken sandwiches! It didn't matter if the chicken was grilled or fried! Ugh! Patooy! Gag! Gross! I know I AM a little dramatic but I can't say how much it gags me to see someone put cheese on a chicken sandwich!
