Winthrop University's Recruitment

Winthrop's Recruitment is at the end of September! The Recruitment breakdown is this:

DAY 1 (ORIENTATION):
September 25th: Potential New Member Orientation
DAY 2 (PHILANTHROPY DAY):
September 26th: PNMs go to all 5 sororities parties
DAY 3 (FRATERNAL VALUES DAY):
September 27th: PNMs go to 4 or less sororities parties
DAY 4 (PREFERENCE AND BID DAY):
September 28th: Preference Day (2 or less sororities parties)
and Bid Day

Approximately, 150-200 girls go through our Recruitment. New Member Classes are approximately 30-35.

Our bid day goes as this:
-- PNMs rank their sorority choices in Tillman Hall
-- PNMs go back to their homes and wait
-- PNMs go to Dinkins Student Center to pick up their bids
-- PNMs go to the individual sorority rooms to meet their New
Member class, President, New Member Coordinator, and
Recruitment Chair
-- When all the New Members have received their bids, they all
make a mad dash to their sorority's house where all their new
sisters are waiting.

I love the fact that your pref & bid are on the same day! I think it's so hard for the PNMs to wait until the next day to find out who their new sisters are!

Winthrop's Recruitment starts this weekend! I will keep ya'll updated with all of the details that I can!

We have approximately 180 girls signed up for recruitment. Quota is expected to be between 35 and 40 girls. Total for our chapters is 60.

The chapters we have are:

Alpha Delta Pi
Chi Omega
Delta Zeta
Sigma Sigma Sigma
Zeta Tau Alpha

As for my sorority, we are at 58 members so if we get 35 girls, we'll be at 93 girls. Woo hoo! Other chapters will be at around those numbers.

I know right now DZ is around 60ish. Chi O is around 65ish. ADPi has about the same amount as ZTA. Sigma is around 60ish.

My chapter (the Theta Sigma chapter of Zeta Tau Alpha) got 31 beautiful girls! I am not sure the total number of girls the rest of the groups got except for DZ (they got 7). Quota was set at 29! Congrats to all Winthrop's chapters!

I think all of the PNMs but one were placed, but I am not sure. I think about 17 dropped out of rush. I don't know because originally there was 162 going through. I only know of one that didn't get placed.
