Anniversary Present for Parents

It's my parent's 27th Anniversary on Thursday, and I have no clue what to get them! Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Also, I will not be able to go home to visit until the second week in October, so should I just send them a card for this week and give them the present in person?

I gave them a gift certificate to their fave restaurant last year, and the year before I gave them a silver picture frame. I need something a little bit different this year...thanks in advance for any ideas!

Yeah I was going to ask about your budget too. This year my sister and I were going to pay for a Bed & Breakfast for the weekend for my parents, but we couldn't get our act together... so hopefully next year we'll do that. Since we didn't do that, we were like we'll pay for dinner, but my parents always want us to come with them out to dinner and then my dad's always like no don't pay. But I like the Bed & Breakfast idea.

I have a little brother (13 yr. old), so my budget is somewhat limited. He'll probably be able to donate around $20 to the cause, so the rest is up to me. MeLikey, a Bed and Breakfast weekend might be a good idea...I'll have to check online. Thanks!

Any more ideas?

How much time do you have? In all the years my parents were married, they kept every letter & card that my brother & I ever sent them, but I'm not so sure about the gifts.

I think they would be honored and flattered if you wrote a letter from the heart, telling them that, as you've matured, you realize how wonderful it is to come from a two-parent family, and that knowing what they have sacrificed to stay together for 27 years is a feat in itself these days. You catch my drift. Write a good enough letter - sincerely!!! - and they won't care how much money you spend on a gift.

photos

What abou a photo album with 5X7 pictures of them together in as many of the 27 years as possible? You can take small snap shot photos and crop/make them into 5X7's on your computer or at one-hpur shops.
I am making a book for my parents for Christmas.
