When my daughter was an infant the Teletubbies were the only reason I was able to get ready for work. It must be the colors and the babble. She was addicted from 3 months old until she was about three.

I've always regarded it child abuse to expose a child to Teletubbies or Barney. The few times my kids did watch them, my wife and I had to be far, far away from the tv.

LOL. I remember watching the show as I was flipping through channels during a summer break and I just got hooked on the show. I couldn't believe it. They're kinda cute in a way, although you really can't figure out what the heck they are! And you all know the supposed theory that the sign on Tinky Winky's (the purple one) head is a symbol for being a homosexual. *shrug* I don't know who came up with that one. I always enjoyed how they said good bye to the sun and how all the teletubbies go "Eh oh!" or something.

That was the Rev. Jerry Fallwell of Lynchberg, VA. He controls that entire city. Basically he's a nut job, but he's a relgious nutjob so in VA that = power. We also have Pat Robertson, the guy who prayed that the Supreme Court justices would die because they legalized sodomy.

I always thought this was hilarious. It was about the time my daughter watched these. And there is an episode where Tinky Winky tries to get Dipsy to wear a skirt, and Dipsy runs away....
I just looked at as my daughter learning tolerance at an early age.

Once in a while, Po says something in Chinese..... I read it in TIME magazine or something like that.

Po -
The smallest of the four and is also the naughtiest. She is always riding on her scooter, and singing Padi, Padi, Padi, Padi Po (Chinese for quick, quick, quick, quick). Often spills her tubby custard or doesn't get any out of the machine after the others have got theirs. Shows that she's upset by stamping her feet. Often likes to do the opposite to her Tubbie colleagues, either for the humour element, or just to be bloody awkward. In one show, after Tinky Winky, Dipsy and Laa Laa had been scared off by a spider in a Little Miss Muffet re-creation, Po shouted "Po frighten pider way". And frighten the spider away, she did. She also counts to three in Chinese (ya, yi, sah).
