Help please

I think I have been dealt a serious injustice.

First off, I have good reason to believe that I have been placed on social probation. No one has directly confronted me on the issue, which pisses me off, but the two EC members who spoke to my big about it (she brought it up because my name wasn't on the scroll list for taking a lil) are trustworty girls and real friends of mine. See, there was a scrape I got into last semester that I do take full responsibility for and that I will willing accept a JUST consequence for...but what they've done is UNJUST. I have not been given a chance to speak of the improvements, they just claim that they haven't seen any (we've only been in school for 2 weeks!) and threw the book at me without having any follow-up conferences.
What's worse is that all this stems from one incident last semester...LAST SEMSESTER as in I am still being "crucified" for a mistake. There are girls in my chapter who could be considered "repeat offenders" who are taking lils. There's this one girl who went out the night before Initiation and got so smashed that I stayed up with her till 3:30 am while she was puking her guts out in the bathroom of the chapter house. She does similar things every single night she can, but for some reason the chapter can overlook her dishonor of the ritual. This is not justice! My youth leader back home was a DZ and she told me that she would take it up with judiciary board, but AGD doesn't have one of those so I really don't know what to do...
We will be having an LC come up here for a while, should I mention it to her? I need help!

I would speak with the Personal Development officer if I were you and if that does not help petition EC to speak on your own behalf and ask that changes be made in your punishment. BUT be prepared for 1. A "good talking to" and/or 2. the same punishment to stay in tact.
You said that there are other members who are "repeat offenders". Are they not brought to the atttention of the Personal Development coordinator, if not then why? Not every action has to have some serious consequences, such as not taking a little, or being on social probation. There were many times a meeting was held with the PD Advisor, the PD and the member with whom there was an issue and a verbal warning was assigned.
I don't know what you did, but perhaps it may be worse than some of the actions of the "repeat offenders". For instance, getting intoxicated before initiation is MORE THAN FROWNED upon at my chapter, and I am sure there would be something done about that, but if a member is gossiping or shacking at a fraternity house then we usually gave them a warning first off and went from there.
Also, remember, unless it is in writing, hearsay and gossip are not something that the PD will use to speak with a member about.
Sometimes it feels like tattle tailing, but in reality it is just holding everyone to the same STANDARD- thus the term' Standards!
Good luck!
