Re: rivals
here at florida southern college (in lakeland, FL) there are only 5 fraternities and 5 sororities, with an average of about 30-40 members in each.
Lambda Chi Alpha
sigma chi
kappa alpha
sigma alpha epsilon
kappa alpha psi
and
alpha chi omega
zeta tau alpha
alpha delta pi
alpha omicron pi
kappa delta
our rivals are probably the sigs. they like to start stuff with us, and a few of our guys are too hotheaded to end it. so, we've been going at it ever since i got my bid. what about some other chapters?

Our rivals right now, are the Gammas, they just recruited close to 25 guys this past semester. other than the Kappa Alpha's we get along with almost everybody.

hehehe.... same deal with us here in Toronto. We get along with pretty much everybody except the KA's (maybe because their house is the closest), but then again I don't think anyone is to close to the KA's here. We try to be the go-to guys here; the ones that will support your event, no cause trouble or fights, and police ourselves.

All I know is the Lamba Chi chapter at Oklahoma State is struggling while the one at OU is one of if not the best. When i was deciding on going greek it was a lambda chi from Illinois that gave me the best advice for going into rush, so you guys are tops in my book right behind us Pikes.

Brothers Harison and Cooper are most likely talking about two different KAs. There's Kappa Alpha Society ("Northern"), and Kappa Alpha Order ("Southern").
Just thought I'd point that out.

Yep... up here it is the Kappa Alhpa Society..... though they have been partial to rebel flags over the last decade or so.

LXA at IU
Well, out at Alpha Omicron at Indiana University, we have a big rivalry with Delta Upsilon, mostly because they live next door. Other than them, we tend to work best with ATO. We despise Fiji, but we have our reasons for that.

We dislike FIJI/PHI GAM AT UT. We also don't get along very well with Kappa Sig. The frats we chill with our Pike, ATO and Sig Ep, most other frats are ok as well. What I have come to find out is all the rumours about frats are traditional old nonsense, any many of them are stereotypes. U really got meet individuals in different frats to have a clue what their fraternity is really like.

Not to be mean or anything but am I the only person who when someone says "Frat" all I can hear is nails on a chalk board? I'll spare the obsciene catch phrases but if you really think about it by saying "frat" we do tend to perpetuate the stereotype. I'm not trying to flame or anything but it just kills me to hear it, especially from someone in the greek system...

Just between you and me, Lambda Chi Alpha is a Fraternity; all the others are Frats. Silly boy.

Sorry about referring to Fraternities as frats, I don't usually do that and yes that gets me mad when I hear that term as well. I didn't look over what I wrote i've been extremely busy with rush last week and should not have said that sorry EM, Jono and all the other Lambda Chi Alpha's. As for calling me a little boy you can shove that comment right up your ass Jono. I am a Lambda Chi Alpha and I work my butt off for my fraternity, that is not a comment I need right now when I wake up in the morning and check my e-mail. Don't ever say something like that to me again because I was just trying to add more posts to this site and putting my two sense in because I want to start posting more on this website. Overall I hope everyone has a good day and good luck with rush.

Ryan, I didn't call you anything. I don't know you. My last post was directed at Matt, and meant to be lighthearted. Him, I know; we've met. Sorry for the confusion.
ZAX,
Jono
