A Delaware Area Alumni checking in here. In the Newark, DE area, we had winds but no flooding. We actually had flooding the Monday before from what was left of Hurricane Henri. For Isabel, the Governor declared the state closed on Thursday and Friday, so we all had two days off school. Many areas are still without power, but the direct area of Newark, DE seems A-OK.

Beta Alpha, how are you? I know there were many area effected by the coastal flooding; like in the Baltimore area and north (the areas that share radio stations with us). Did all of you, and your families, get through OK?

Thanks for the update, great to know that that area is ok. Hope the earlier floodings didn't cause problems for anyone. Keep us posted if anything changes and we'll hope to hear from Beta Alpha soon!

Wow you girls are too sweet. University of Maryland wasn't hit too badly by the storm. Some of the upperclassmen apartments on campus are without power for the next few days, there's no cable, and a couple of trees around campus are down, but other than that everything is ok. We did get Thursday and Friday off of classes, though. That was a welcome treat. And the CVS and restaurants just off campus are without power, which is mostly an inconvenience. Thanks so much for your concern. Glad I only have good news to report. ^_^

Amanda,

Glad to hear you all made it through the storm in good shape (though I know from personal experience how rotten studying is when you don't have power at home!)!!

Congrats on your activation and WELCOME to Sigma Alpha! Hope to hear from you often here on Greekchat!

Beta Alpha is still here :)

The sisters from Beta Alpha are all ok! Several of us didn't have power for several days but despite the inconvience we came through, and school reopened again in time for our weekly meeting Right now we're preparing for our first rush so it's an exciting time over here.
