Partying Songs
If any of you are like my friends and I, you have songs that you listen to on your way to the bars, at the bars, or parties that get you ready to have fun. Just wondering what those songs are...our top ones would have to be sexual feeling (the remake...good song), and college girls are easy. They always get us in the mood to party. What are your faves?

Well, I'm the self-appointed DJ for all of the parties we have at my boyfriend's place, so here are some songs that are must-haves (for better or worse...)
The Buffett:
Margaritaville
Changes in Lattitudes...
Why Don't we Get Drunk...
The Britney:
Baby One More Time
Oops I did it Again
Crazy (the Stop Remix)
(although, some of the guys need to be pretty toasted to tolerate this)
Genie in a Bottle (its a long story, but there's a "performance" that goes along with it)

My favorite party songs are:
Ooh La La by the Wise Guys
Ride Wit' Me by Nelly
Groove is in the Heart by Dee-Lite
and the song that always gets me pumped up is Bust-a-Move by Young MC!

Hey DGPhoney:
I have OLD SKOOL go-go CD's in my car and I forgot they were in the CD player and I got the pleasure of Driving the other day to go out. MY friend hit the CD player and Northeast Groovers (the water dance, anyone?)--came out on FULL volume and she just looked at me and was like WTF is this? I was like its DC music, you wouldn't understand

This isn't exactly a party song... but..
When I was still in college me and a friend would celebrate the end of our finals (once we had both completed them) every semester by playing The Knack's My Sharona at full volume and dancing in the hallway. She would dance like Ally Sheedy in The Breakfast Club- it was a riot!
I don't remember how or why, but it started the end of our freshman year. And that was the moment that would mark the end of another semester. We put it on repeat after our final senior semester for like 10 minutes!

oops, didn't mean to post that blank message. Anyway, back in the day (2 and a half years ago, freshman year) we had good luck with the ladies when we played the Beastie Boys "Girls", so we play it at all of our parties. Songs we always play when we're not having a party, but we're partying, in no particular order...
Billy Joel - Piano Man
Beatles - Rocky Raccoon
Kid Rock - Welcome to the Party
Guns 'n Roses - Welcome to the Jungle
some hair band, can't remember- I wanna Rock
Nelly - Ride wit me
Johnny Cash - Ring of Fire
and many more i can't think of right now
The first two songs date back to freshman year, hanging out with the seniors.
