LadyAKA, I notice the heading of your post states "New York Metro Area Sorors and Friends..." Does "Friends" apply to just friends of the members of your sorority that are invited?

I e-mailed you after I posted my first question...it was basically asking the same question but I was more direct in the e-mail...it was something more like..."Can I attend PLEAZZZE?" Anyway, let me say thank you because seeing your post really made my day. As you know, the weather has been so dreary in NYC...I was just thinking about how fast the Summer has gone and how it's back to school in a couple of weeks. As I sat reading your post I wasn't even aware of the sun...it has come back and it's shining so beautifully!!!

LadyAKA, thanks for having us! We all had a wonderful time! The best part about it for me is that my friend, the Delta, enjoyed herself immensely!! She wanted me to thank you and your sorority sisters for showing her so much love and making her feel welcome. She felt kind of out of place at first being that she was the only Delta in a land of pink and green...but that feeling quickly disappeared with all the warmth and genuine hospitality you ladies expressed.

It just proved to me that there is
one Greek love amongst the Divine Nine.
Anyway, I thought you were a very gracious host considering you had so much to do! The ladies of your organization and your friends took great care in making us feel comfortable and welcome when you were busy doing other things.

Thanks again for a very pleasant afternoon!!

Again thank you!! We do have other AKA events coming up in the fall, the first will be our Fashion show (Ebony Fashion Fair, Sept 29). Yes, there is a charge for this, so if any one wants more info I will disclose that via e-mail......
