What is up with Destiny's Child?

the radio stations here in the md/dc area are eating this up. i think it is just a case of big heads and when it is all said and done they won't prosper. i don't really feel them because in seeing their videos the focus was always on Bighead..oops Beyonce'. i tell ya that diva syndrome will get u in the end, just look at diana ross.

I don't understand why the group can't get their act together. I was a big fan of Destiny's child when they first appeared on the charts, but now I'm beginning to think that the group has let fame go to their heads..especially Beyonce. Anyway, I have a feeling that in a couple more months Destiny's Child will be no more. I predict that Beyonce will end up doing what many people do when they get tired of sharing the spotlight with a group...the solo thing. Just like Bobby, Lionel,Diana, and many more.

I thought I heard something about this on the radio, but I didn't pay too much attention. I know that the two former members have their own website which I read about in a magazine back in May. They really went into detail about some of the behind the scenes happenings. They also said they had formed a new group with a third member, and I wish them all the best.

You are correct that Beyonce's father is the group's manager and her mother is the wardrobe/hairstylist for the group. To me, that was not a good mix from the get go. I had a feeling that the group would run into problems one day, just not so soon.

When the new members, Michelle and Farrah, were first introduced I saw them on BET. My impression is that they were being treated as back-up singers rather than equal members of the group. Beyonce and Kelly were acting like it was the "Beyonce and Kelly" show. The new members looked really uncomfortable with them. So, I if one has already left and the other was giving evil looks I can see why. That has me thinking they are too difficult to get along with.

I think they are all talented young ladies, but they still have a lot of growing up to do. Darling1 summed it up very nicely. They have got to kick the "diva syndrome". I hate to see them five years from now...if they last that long.

I have been interested in this story too. According to EURmail, the member was kicked out for missing too many performances. I also watched that special on MTV and Farrah missed the performance because she had the stomach flu. Beyonce even said that at the beginning. I work in radio, so I work with a lot of record companies. I was talking with one of the representatives of their record company and he said the other two left the group because the manager (Beyonce's father) only wanted Beyonce to sing. If you notice on all of the videos and appearances the only people the spotlight is on is Beyonce and the short-haired girl. I heard a lot of ugly things about those girls.

I saw on "Pop Up Video" on Vh1 that Beyonce's father is also legal gaurdian of the short haired girl, Kelly. So she is really like Beyonce's sister. Also, the father/manager tried to become the legal gaurdian of the two girls that left the group, but hey refused. Once they refused, they were out of the group. It sounds like not only did the managers want Beyonce to be the group's leader but that they wanted an extra piece of the pie for themselves. I also heard that Beyonce has a Jaguar and Kelly has a Mercedes but the other two girls did not get cars. I would be upset too. "May I please have my luxury car also?"

I saw the girls (3) of them on Much Music last week. Beyonce saidthat Farrah had just not shown up to three performances and they did not know what was going on, they did not know anything...so the people in their "camp" told them to go on and do their thing, because they have ALWAYS performed when scheduled, they did not ever CANCEL a performance...yada, yada, yada...

I have to agree that Beyonce and Kelly always were in the spotlight. Even in the Jumpin video, you see more of them than the other girls.

What was so ironic to me was that everything was the Lord this and God this...but, if you do things inapproriately or maliciously, then the Lord will not Bless You. Evidently something must be wrong with Beyonce and her crew, because all of these changes...The Lord does not like it when you "do ugly..."

Soror Akatude, do you have that address to that website of the two former members?

Someone mentioned about Bobby, Lionel, and Diana leaving groups and going solo...
As they say on VH-1..."And where are they now?" LOL

Bobby is still in jail...i saw on TV the other day he had a little crew with some free Bobby signs down in FLorida....(what the deal Whitney are we that desperate to make this married work?)

Lionel Richie isn't he saved now and didn't his wife beat his behind some years ago when she caught him cheating.

Diana..poor poor Diana...the hair is getting bigger and her concerts are getting canceled.

Stardom gets to these peoples heads and they think they are bigger then life...the only thing big on them is their headz.

I used to like Destiny's Child, but it's outta control now. They're like the Menudo of R&B. That's not cute. Also, check out www.mtv.com. They have an articlw on it. Funny, though, the only pictures I see are of Beyonce

My sister lives in Houston. She said from the beginning when the original members left that everything has been Hush Hush in Houston, their hometown.

Hello all!!

I just wanted to throw in my $19.13. I echo the same thoughts of everyone on this one. I think Beyonce has the diva syndrome bad. I also think that the other 2 girls were brought as back-up dancers (because it's not their voices on the current album out). Did anyone else notice how the two or one (I should say) new members favor Latoya and Latavia. I guess they thought we'd all would be fooled. I also saw them on "Pop-Up Video" and it said Latoya and Latavia were suing the manager. The radio station I listen to calls them "Beyonce's Stepchildren", and they also said Farrah was kicked out for posing on an adult magazine cover. I don't know what that was about, but I think it's a matter of months or weeks before Destiny's Child is no more.

Greetings All:

From the beginning, it has seemed like the group was all about Beyonce'. She's the only one who does all of the singing. I don't see why they just don't call it Beyonce' and Her Backup. From what I've heard, it seems like the fans that they did have, they are now losing b/c people are detecting their problems and it's affecting their performances. I agree that it won't be long before Beyonce goes solo.

I listened to the music but my butt don't get to watch no video's so I really don't know who is who... I want to know who miss Beyonce is ... i did see one video
