Yeah, Indiana is going through a big heat wave too. I didn't see the weather, but according to my neighbor it was supposed to get to 107 with humidity! Is it ever going to cool down??

All right, anyone who believes that Southern California is the best place for summer....let me burst your bubble. This entire summer, we have been dealing with record highs and high humidities that we never see. I live inland from the coast, and this summer we've had nothing but 90 and 100 degree weather and the high humidity doesn't help, either....we have to run both AC's all night long to keep it bearable in the house to sleep. San Diego isn't too much better....been in the 80's with the high humidity, though some days are "cooler" than others.

Yea here in Columbia, Mo it's been betwen 105-107 everyday this week. OF COURSE it would happen the week of formal recruitment. YUCK!!! And add in the humidity and it's just all around awful! We have ou air conditioner set at like 55 degrees right now so it feels pretty good, but dang, I hope this stops before school starts!

It was hot and humid today in Waterloo, Ontario...

And everyone is being told to keep their AC off lest we get rolling blackouts.

My workplace was a sauna.... ei!

Aren't France and England breaking all their records? I think France has had a horrible number of heat related deaths.

I think our weather pattern is changing world wide. Can this ALL
be El Nin'o ???

It disgustingly hot in Toronto too. I was out for an hour yesterday and I was all hot and gross. I don't have AC in my house, and normally I can tolerate the heat, but when it gets humid like this I get super cranky.
We have on of those ACs that you put in the window, but my dad won't let us turn it one because of the stupid blackout. We have to conserve energy.

France hit 5000 heat-related deaths from the heat wave (about 14 days) that lasted over europe while I spent my nearly 3 weeks in Germany.

And just about *nobody* had any air conditioning over there! There were a few nights where opening up all of the hotel room doors and windows did nothing, since there was *no* breeze either.

Many places in Germany were also 35'C to 40'C for most of the time we were there. That's a range of 95'F to 104'F. For fourteen days. With NO AC in hotel rooms, cafes, or museums.

Today? I was there for a full week and all we did was sweat whenever we were outside! It was horrible!

Yesterday in the Detroit area is was pretty damn hot.... ok yeah so 90* some places isn't that hot, but for Michigan, who is used to temps in the 50s and 60s, 90s is hot.

But it stormed like hell last nite, so we're not having the water problem.

Very true. I was just saying it's hot today bc it was less humid earlier this week so one feels the heat today. I was away from NYC last week and forgot about the long week I think we had of heat.
