Angry Help!!

I attend a college in Long Island and I became interested in the organization my freshman year. I was given the opportunity to pursue membership but during this time, inevitable circumstances forced myself and others to discontinue what we were doing. This was three years ago and since then the chapter at my school was never brought back. The members of the organization which have all graduated informed us in January that they were no longer interested in having their chapter recognized at the University. So now there is no chapter here and we have worked really hard to get it back. My question to anyone that can answer is what can be done now? The greek advisor at my school says that he needs someone from the chapter to initiate the paperwork but they do not want to participate. Is it possibly to bring the chapter without any of the previous chapter members? Also we attempted to contact the graduate chapter that overlooks the undergraduate chapter at my school but no one seems to put an effort in trying to help us. Can you please HELP me...

This is exactly what I mean. I have read the Pearls of Wisdom and done all of my homework regarding this subject. Believe me. How can I get accurate information when the people who I thought I could turn to want nothing to do with their own chapter?
