Post Missionaries

I just got done reading an article in the news paper that talked about missionaries and how they 'help' indigenous people. Now I don't know about you...but how do you feel about missionaries? Do they help?
I ask this because I have issues with missionaries going over to other countries and feeling as if they are helping these countries by giving them the resources that "we" have. These are indigenous people they have been here since the beginning of time...I would think that they know how to manage when there is a storm coming and would know their land. Are we really the ones that are progressing? It makes you think because, a lot of us (not all) have no idea how to function when dealing with natural things. A lot of us have no idea on how to grow our food, ect.

Let me get some feed back in here. I hope that my wording is so that you can understand.
