Nervous!

Ahhhh- rush is almost here and I'm starting to freak out! I keep imagining these disasterous scenarios (ie-getting cut by every house) Any other PNMs really nervous also? I definately need to stop worrying about it so much. Isn't recruitment supposed to be "fun"?

I feel ya on the nervousness....OMG!! ok big question I dont know what to say to the anyone who asks me my feelngs on ZTA when I go through I know alot of ppl know that I pledged them. eek I mean I love the girls but who knows I didnt go through formal rush before and I dont want to completely ruin my chaces with the others if for some awful reason ZTA doesnt want me

Hey girls..I know exactly how all of you are feeling. I went through Spring Rush 2002. I was very nervous but there is actully no need to be. Just smile and be yourself. The girls will know who is genuine and who isnt. Just go into rush with a "go get'em" attitude and the girls will love you. Remember its not where you have been but where you end up going. Just follow your hearts and it will take you where you need to be. Good Luck girls and let me know how things go!!

don't be nervous about recruitment! just be yourself! i went through formal recruitment last fall, and had soooo much fun!! good luck and let us all know what happens!!

Totally nervous here too, so don't feel alone. Rush is in 3 eeks, I haven't gotten all of my clothes (event though I know taht isn't the most important thing) and horrible embarassing moments that could happen are finding their way into my head. I really don't want my rush thread to turn into one of the funny "guess what this rushee did/said/wore" threads. **Sighs** 24 days in counting.....

I have finished shopping and have planned all of my outfits. I've gotten my manicure appt set. I have nothing left to do EXCEPT be nervous! How much does that suck? I also keep imagining the horrible scenario of being cut from every house. My most dreaded scenario: Someone asking me, "You're HOW OLD and you're rushing???" So that I don't irritate my best friend with my nervousness and excitement (he's the only one I've been talking to about rush here) I've been keeping a journal. I can't tell you how many entries there are where it is obvious that I'm a basketcase right now...

PNMs to let you in on a little secret, we're just as nervous as you are! Relax in the houses and if you get suck or lost or you mind wanders, etc., smile pretty and politly ask the member to repeat herself or if your uncomfortable change the subject by completemting the member ie: "thats's a fab necklace your wearing...."

I'm totally nervous about being a first time sister during rush, I mean nobody wants to be the person that keeps a pnm from coming back to your chapter!!!!!! remember, it is mutual selection, we need you guys to keep our chapter going and we want you as much as you want us!!!!
Hopefully you guys will get all your nerves out of the way now (yeah I know easier said), you should try your best just to enjoy yourselves..you ladies have all worked so hard you deserve to enjoy your rush experiences!!!!! (and I'm sure you will)

I went through rush last fall and I understand why PNM's are so nervous! Just remember to be yourself and keep a positive outlook. Looking back on my rush week, I wish I would have allowed myself time to enjoy the week. I was so stressed out and nervous that I never really realized what an awesome experience it was. Now that I will be on the other side of formal rush for the first time, I am a bit sad and jealous of all the PNMs! Best of luck to you all and keep smiling!

relax and enjoy the ride. you'll meet lots of folks, have some good conversation and let the chips fall where they may.

I am definitely nervous and excited. I am definitely more nervous about being a junior and feeling like the oldest person there. People tell me I look younger than I really am all the time so maybe that will help me, who knows!?!?
Anyway, I am truly excited and that is much more prevalent than nerves. I am actually ready to get on with it now...my summer break has been long enough seriously

I know I'm getting nervous! 17 days to go! My clothes are picked out and ready to go, hair/nail appointments are set....eeeeek! I'm more excited nervous than scared nervous. I'm finally going to be rushing! I've been waiting for this for soooo long, and it's almost here! I'm really looking forward to letting all of you know what happens. You guys have been the best with helping me get ready! The clock is ticking!
