Oh, I adored it! Dixie Carter is so hysterical--could you believe that story they told about when she forgot her pantyhose? And how about precious little Alice Ghostley--"Black man! Black man!"

LOL, you're right--why did I say pantyhose? I can't believe she stood up there with one leg hitched up and ONLY pantyhose on! With an openmouthed audience below!

"Everybody saw my pretty....!"

I thought this reunion show was done very well, and I like that Meshach Taylor acted somewhat like the host. Delta Burke looked great - the others, too, but Delta is always a standout.

I had forgotten the one with the dying black woman (Esther Rollins?) talking about her life, just as Charlene's daughter was being born.

And they showed my favorite clip, the show when Dash Goff was having writer's block and the ladies decided to help him. The ending was that wonderful speech about Southern ladies that ended with them in the white clothing on a veranda - I get misty eyed just thinking about it!

It really was a great reunion. And I have to say that I am GLAD that the two AWFUl seasons with Jan Hooks and those other "fake" Designing Women were NOT mentioned at all!

This pleased me greatly! The show simply wasn't the same without Jean Smart & Delta Burke!

I thought it started at 9pm and missed it! I was so disappointed! Please, Lifetime, rerun this one!

That was Beah Richards, an amazing actress and playwright.

And I'm sad that it hasn't aired in Canada! DW was one of my favorite sitcoms ever, even if they did get a lot of stuff about Atlanta wrong. I especially loved the episode where Suzanne had to go back to her high school reunion, and the one where they went to the women's wilderness camp and Anthony had to pretend he was a woman. "Cindy.. Cindy Birdsong" and "some white girl" are permanently etched on my brain!
