Punk Rock
I'm sure there are at least a few of you guys either are, or at least used to be big into punk. I've been getting back into it, listening to some of my old favs, but there are some I just cannot find on the net, and wanted to see if anyone had them...but also I just want to maybe hear about some other good bands.
I'm REALLY looking for anything I can find by My Pal Trigger, Discount, Clairmel, which is hardly anything, with the exception of discount, but it's not the ones I want. It's all central florida punk, and the album I'm looking for exactly is a comp called Songs that will make you Cool. Screw 32 is another good band too, but I'm not sure where they're from.
I've finally found some All on the web, I looked forever for that. I like some of the punk grrl music like Bikini Kill and Bratmobile. Of course the kings like NOFX, Face to Face, LTJ, Screeching Weasel, Skanking Pickle, OpIv& The Queers. I'm not too into the really overly politically motivated stuff, but I do like Fifteen, Reset, Satanic Surfers, & Propaghadhi. Fat Music for Fat People is the best of the Fat Wreck Chords albums, I think..and I think Fat is probably the best place to look for punk. Punk Uprisings vol. 1 is brilliant too.
So...Any suggestions? I love comps cause they are the best place to find various great songs together. But I like it all!

Go steal Hellcat Records' "Give 'em the Boot" compilation - it's not exclusively punk, and it's Tim Armstrong's pet label, but don't let that get in the way - very solid comp.
I'll look around for more suggestions . . .

Mr. Munchkin loves that CD! I'm not the biggest new Punk Rock fan, so I can't help you. But maybe he can.

what the hell is all of this about? i really don't understand what you're trying to say
edited to say:
Um, I guess you're trying to have fun at my expense or whatever... i was just told to read your comments on various threads....is there a reason you are acting as if you know me? or ... I'm just confused....you talk to people about how you know me or something? That's a really normal thing to do....

...
I always knew that everyone generally cited the Sex Pistols, The Clash, Billy Bragg.....people like as the greatest contributors to punk, but damn now that I was looking around all of the punx seem primarily inspired by Stiff Little Fingers...a very clash-like band but with a lot more music. I've just been getting a lot of their stuff and it's really good, considering the economic situation of their homeland (Ireland) during the 70s & 80s. If you like those I began by mentioning, check these guys....they really had their hand in everything....or at least everyone else is dipping into their IP to get material...good stuff
