Turning off e-mail notices

Can someone help me turn off the e-mail notifications I get when someone replies to a thread i've posted in? I have the option turned off in control panel/options but I still get these notices, like 50 a day!!!

Click on "user cp" (control panel) it's at the top of every page. It lists all the current threads you're subscribed to there so just click unsubscribe on any you don't want notices on.
By the way, it tends to only list recent threads you subscribed to so you may still get notices when people respond to old threads from the archives that it didn't list.

Also, when posting, there's the option at the bottom "Email Notification: emails sent to you whenever someone replies. Only registered users are eligible. ", I tend to deselect it when posting in the Chitchat forum as it can tend to have lots of messages.
