and the frenzy begins

75 days=1800 hours=10800 minutes=6480000 seconds......it's my last fall rush, and I'm damned excited.

My last rush was weird in the sense that I knew I would only see these guys go through a year in my chapter - all the other classes I would see for over a year, as they grew and got more involved in the chapter.

It was interesting though - being a senior, and seeing the future of the chapter coming through.

I know exactly how you feel KSigkid and OnePlus69Is70. I'm right there now. Since we are almost at total, we will probably not be having a spring rush and these will be the last girls that I will be an active member with. I'm extremely proud of how these new girls are taking over. It just seems weird though that it doesn't even feel like my "generation" took over... I feel like we were just freshmen yesterday and now we're a year from graduation.

It ends up being a cool feeling though - having that last rush made me realize, even more than I already did, that the chapter was in good hands. Now that I'm graduated and an alum, I know that my chapter has many of the same good qualities it had when I left - it's a little different than when I came in, but still doing well.

This is a terrible thread. This thread just made me realize that this fall will be my second last rush, and the winter will be my last. I've had so little time with Pi Phi as a collegian, I am not ready to leave. Oh I don't like this thread at all.

What's this stuff?! Y'all act as if you'll never be involved in rush again!! If even you won't be on a collegiate level, you can surely help on the alumni level - you will be NEEDED on that level!!

You will move to the unique role of handmaiden - being the silent force behind the Cheering Mob! You will learn the fine talent of Bid Matching! You will be able to send in Recs! You will be able to help someone get over a rush crush gone bad and exult in taking Quota!!

Just like in college, it's all a matter of attitude. Think John Belushi in Animal House, "Did the Germans give up when they bombed Pearl Harbor?"

Y'all made a life choice for your sorority. Don't let them down once you graduate! I can't WAIT until Rush!!

All so true. I am not sad that rush will be ending, but I am sad that my time as a collegian has been so short. Short, but nonetheless worthwhile.

(although I doubt I will ever appreciate or learn the fine art that is bid matching...with one NPC and no panhell on campus, I don't have that privilage)
