Erik Conard TKE Like no other

To the Brothers of TKE,

I once again had the pleasure of seeing Erik after 37 years.

We had a sort of G C meeting while he was visiting in Topeka, Ks.

For you that never had this pleasure, HE is a Font of information about not only TKE and LXA, but most of the Greek Organizations.

It was a 3 1/2 hour discussion of Greeks and our rememberances between us.

He is still very updated with the Events of TKE so use The Crusty Old Fart for any and all information! This of course is coming from another crusty old fart!

ZEKE, He talked very Highly of you. I related about me talking with you and told him You were Great guy and are a Great TKE Brother!!!

For those of you who have not met EC, you know not what you are missing!!!!!

Did indeed have a marvelous visit with Tom Earp; he is a credit
to Lambda Chi, and like many of us, our outfits send but rarely
receive. Some timely thoughts after forty-plus years as a Greek:
---now is time to grow. Young folks hungry for mentors, for a sense of belonging. Double your size, double your chapters on campus and you will automatically double your clout.
We are upping our size, now up yours.
---sororities, dump those damned quotas and let others on. And although many will not join the bottom ones, quotas will not
help, but the new blood will.
---IFCs, be what you were supposed to be: helping each other,
not making stupid rules.
---Greek Advisors...insist that each chapter have an active advisor and a functioning board which meets each month. You
will cut your brain damage in half and produce top chapters. And
all will love you...rightly so...and it'll be a fun trip.
---if you drink, be a drinking scholar. Quit pissing on the Pike porch or barfing on the SAE lion. Get busy, get positive, get real.
---try to help reactivate a nearby chapter who stubbed its toe some years ago. We will all be wealthier for it.
---FINALLY, do not deny a good person a chance to be a Greek.
Have over half your pledge class made before school opens. And, remember, Fraternity is for Life! Enjoy....'uncle Erik'

I take this out of context as most people will take such things, "Up Yours"!!!! Damn, I love that throw in!

While we did not solve the Greek Problems, In 3 1/2 quick hours, I did have one of a hell of a Good Time Being with an Old Friend!


While I am fast becomeing a Crusty Ole Fart, I bow My Head to The King! I just love some of THE "OLDERS" on site, wow I am 35, I am 41! Sh*t, E C Thety aint got nothing on US!

I am going to try to figure out a way to put this on GreekChat Site in the Proper catagory!!!

ZEKE, can you help me out on this???

Remeber, E C and I did a lot of Talking Last Sun. and He knows His S tuff, did not put any ***** in Shi#!

I must admit, We, He/ I agreed a whole lot if not totally on NPC, crap!
