Post What is your Reputation on your campus?

I was just wondering what the reputation of your chapter is at your school. I just think it is interesting how the chapters vary due to location. Proud to be a Pi Phi!

Proud to be a Virgina Zeta Pi Phi here at Virginia Tech. We are a strong and diverse group. #1 flag football champions, winners of the can food drive (3500 cans), and a strong sisterhood.

I'm a Pi Phi at the U of Oklahoma. Pi Phi is the top house on our campus. We pledged 84 this year and have an active chapter of almost 180. The frats consider us the "classiest house on campus." OU is definitely the place to be a Pi Phi.

Sorry to say girls...But your ladies @ NMSU are not very classy. I hope your chapter becomes stronger on my campus, during rush they were rude, snobby and well not very friendly.

I'm a Pi Phi at Colorado School of Mines (CO Delta) Our chapter is really small (our campus is only 27% female ), but we're considered "the sorority to be in". Proud to be a Pi Phi. This year we received most active chapter on campus and one of our ladies received greek woman of the year! We have also had many women selected as province winners of awards to be presented at convention.

Alabama Beta is a very strong chapter. melqt99, I'm sorry you had such a bad experience with that one chapter, but I think most chapters are very classy.

Well it's been awhile since I was an active at NY Epsilon (Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute), but we were a strong chapter then and for the most part retain a reputation for being a top house.

Hello all. I'm a proud Pi Phi of the Indiana Gamma Chapter. I'm pleased to say that our rep is coming back and our numbers are on a rebound! We do have the smallest house on campus, but no one minds since we are all so close. Pi Phi love to you all.

That's so great that you are all close ernie! We lost our house several years ago when they decided to expand the football stadium right over it. (Football takes priority over EVERYTHING at Alabama, including your home.) So until our new house got built we were stuck cramped up in a too small dorm. We knew it would either tear us apart or make us closer. Luckily we got closer and now we have the best house on campus IMHO.

California is a great place to be a Pi Phi. Every homecoming queen from my high school in the 4 years I was there went Pi Phi in college. Being given the splendid position of Homecoming Queen my senior year, I just HAD to continue the tradition ! Internally, our chapter is oh so close. Any where you find a Pi Phi, you will find your own little party (even if it's just a Blockbuster night). Our chapter is also flag football champs and we were runner up for sports banner this year! We should have won it, but we got cheated out of playing 2 sports. But gosh, for not playing 2 sports and still getting runner up, I am pretty darn proud. We tend to have a snotty reputation with the other girls that don't get to actually meet us. But once they do, they all change their mind when they see how goofy we really are . From the guy's perspective, well... there are always a bunch of us at every formal as all of our girls hang out with guys of every fraternity (and non greeks as well...we can also be found at Sports banquets and formals ). There has never been an ill word on the lips of a fraternity man of Pi Phi. I am proud of the active, sweet, diverse and most of all CLASSY chapter that we maintain in good ol' Cali!

The Greek community at the University of Alberta is very small, although we have a good name in the community. The campus, on the other hand, tends to be very anti-Greek. For example, last year, during rush, the apartments across the street from us put up these banners that read "We'll be your friends for free" It was really bad. This year was better, by far. But Pi Beta Phi remains a respected name in womens fraternities here at the U of A, as we have been here the longest ( 70 years!woohoo) and we share good relations with our Greek Brothers and Sisters on Campus.

It's great to see another Canadian chapter on the Board!! I'm an alum from the University of Guelph, where we are the only women's fraternity on campus. We used to have a chaper of KAT on campus, but they went inactive in '97 due to low membership. Our greek system is almost non-existent, due in large part to the very anti-greek campus sentiment. Pi Phi is relatively new at UoG, as we were only colonized in November 1996 (we were a local before then).

Regardless, we have a strong chapter at Guelph. This semester we pledged 10 girls, which is becoming the average for us each rush. Our AAC is really active as well, so all in all I'd rate us number one anyway!

pi phi rep at unc-chapel hill

at carolina, we're one of the top three (with tri delt and chi o). we have a very diverse (well-to-do and well-respected)chapter of average size. we are THE laidback sorority, kinda what you see is what you get type of deal. as for other stuff, the inside of our houses were just renovated, thanks in part to nationals . the outside of the main house will be redone over the next few years. it'll take a while though because the main house is OLD. not that yall needed to know about our houses... just thought i'd throw that in! anyway, i'm new to this, so bear w/ me if i dont do this right

if any of you know a unc pi phi, i'd love to find out who ya know!
