What Chi-O chapters have you visited?
Some of you are fortunate to live close to other Chi Omega chapters to where you all could get together or go tour each other homes. Have any of you done this? Which chapters did you visit? What were your impressions?
I got to visit our Kappa chapter (in Lincoln, NE) my pledge year (1998) while we were at a Husker Football game. We were able to take a tour of the house (it was Parent's Tea so it was a little crazy). We don't have a house so it was neat seeing how they lived in close quarters.
The house was very pretty and the girls that we got to meet were really nice and accomidating (considering they were busy).

My roommate and I stopped by the Zeta Gamma chapter at College of Charleston when we went to pick her sister up (her sister wasn't a member then, but transferred to our school and did pledge there!). It was a cool, old, South Carolina house. The girls were super nice and showed us all around. They invited us to go out with them that night but we were leaving.

Since I went to Ole Miss and had friends that were Chi O's, I have been inside and eaten meals at the Tau Chapter of Chi Omega. It is a gorgeous house inside and out. They have awesome girls and an awesome house.
Also, I've driven by the Miss. State Chapter of Chi Omega and their house is equally pretty too.

I visited the Eta Delta chapter house at UF over Easter weekend, b/c a friend from highschool is a sister there. It was gorgeous, and absolutely huge! I was invited to go out that night with some of the sisters to a white trash party that one of the fraternities was having but I had to keep driving home The girls that I met were awesome!

(quick visit from a Pi Phi)...y'all would all love your Psi chapter's "landmarks"...my mother is from Fayetteville and we played in the Greek theater from our youngest days. Then when I became a cheerleader there, it was sooo neat to be in the pep rallies in the theater!
The XO House there is gorgeous--dark red brick with white trim. I remember when I rushed that they showed us 3 huge bedrooms--the big one, the little one, and the "PooPoo corner"--I have no clue why it was called that!

I've visited many of the SEC chapters, uaually in conjunction with a football game on their campus. Most of the houses are beautiful and the ChiOs I've met from other campuses were very nice as well. ChiO rocks!

How could I have forgotten Psi chapter!?!?! It's where my Chi-O destiny began!
I taught pom/dance camps one summer. I was introduced to the company through a girl in the dance department at my school, and I and another girl made the staff. The other girl was a Chi O and a couple years older than me, but I really liked her. We ended up on different teaching teams, but our teams came together for a really big camp at U of Arkansas. She was so excited to go see the house (unfortunately no one was home!) and the theatre and get a shirt. I volunteered to go with her b/c she didn't want to go alone. We went to Waffle House after and talked about sorority life and she told me I should rush. I didn't for formal that fall, but I got to know her and another Chi O who were on the college dance team with me, and I went through our "structured informal" in the winter and the rest is history!
Sorry about the long, off-topic story, but I feel really lucky to have seen and experienced all that - even if I didn't know it then!!!
