i came across this thread and got excited....i love making cd's, especially ones that have a "theme" (like summer). for my summer CD that i just recently made, here is a sampling of what i put on there:

**"lovin each day" by ronan keating....SUCH a good song to blast with the windows down

**"heaven is a place on earth" by belinda carlisle....just a classic

**"young" by kenny chesney...gotta love him

**"EI" by nelly....kinda old but nonetheless a good one to blare

**"six pack summer" by phil vassar - excellent

** "we built this city" by jefferson starship....i do'nt know why but this songs just screams "summer" to me!

ENJOY!

If you want to add some real oldies into the mix, off the top of my head from the 60's:

Endless Summer Nights -- Richard Marx (great makeout song)
Summer in the City -- Loving Spoonfull
Summertime Blues -- Eddie Cochran
Summertime -- The Jamies
Summer Means Fun -- not sure -- maybe Jan and Dean
Summertime (and the livin is easy) -- Many artists, take your pick.

Ultimate Summer Song: "Steal My Sunshine" by Len!!

Whoever said "Amber" by 311...another GREAT Summer song!

Personal Fav.: "Summer Nights" from Grease

"Sunday, Bloody Sunday" and "Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me" by U2 are fun to blast w/ the windows down!

That new 3rd Eye Blind song "When I See You" is fun...

Also anything by Sublime, Jimmy Eat World, R.E.M. etc.
