Should I contact the Alumnae Chapter?

I have a question... I am studying abroad in London in the Fall and there is a DG Alumnae chapter there and I was wondering If i should maybe contact them.. and maybe they might take me and show me around a little or something?? I thought it might be cool to go around the world and see some fellow DG's! HAHA! Well, someone tell me what I should do???

Love,
Michelle

PS. Maybe they get bothered alot by other DGs that travel there??

I would definitely contact the DGs! I did for Australia and I had lunch with one when I went there! Here is an example of my email:
---------------------
Subject: Hello from a Canadian Delta Gamma

Hello,
I hope that you don't mind my emailing you, I found your name and email address by going to this webpage
http://www.deltagamma.org/rosters/search.htm and typing in Australia and your name came up.

My name is ______ and I am an initiate of ______ chapter of
Delta Gamma, which is at ________ University . I
am ___ years old and I will be arriving in Melbourne, Australia on October 13th and will stay in Melbourne until April 2002, when I will return to Canada.

Although you are not specifically in Melbourne per se (according to the Delta Gamma website listing), I wanted to send you an email to say "hello" and also to ask how you are enjoying living in Australia. I am greatly excited to visit Australia at this time of year, particularly now that Winter is coming to Canada!

If you have any tips or pointers, I would be most appreciative to hear from you.

Thank you and I hope to hear from you!

ITB,
______________
