Phi Mu
Pi Beta Phi

Zeta Tau Alpha

either PM me, IM me on RedFox1705 or oUTfoxed83 or post, thanks so much!

Since there has been over 50 views and not one response, I think I will point the way to this thread:
As an alumna, how WELL should you know a PNM in order to write a RecForm/Sponsorship?

maybe someone on GC could point her in the way of a good alumni associtation or the name of an alumna in her area who would be willing to correspond with and/or eventually meet her?
I don't know... I go to a school where recs aren't neccessary or important. I read the other thread, and it makes me sad to think that some girls could miss out on the Greek experience b/c they are the first amongst those they know to be greek. I hope you get some info somewhere, I know someone here on GC will come through with some sort of guidence in the right direction. I don't know a THING about recs or I'd give you some info.

Thanks cutiepie, see i'm not all aware of this whole "recommendations" thing....coming from a northeastern college to a big SEC southern school...its a big step, espically rushing as a junior can be overwhelming. I just think I'd be an asset to any sorority, I just would hate to be over looked just because of my age...

Hi Pam,
You are certainly in a difficult position, but I don't think it's insurmountable. I would probably contact your city's Alumnae Panhellenic and let them know that you don't know any alumnae but would like to meet some alumnae, get to know them and perhaps from there, they would be amenable to sponsoring you?
Alumnae Panhellenic information can be found here: www.npcwomen.org

I would do up a little "resume" about yourself, your grades, your achievements, your goals, etc. That way, you have something ready to give to an alumna.

i've been looking up my city's alumnae any way i can, and if i find their email addresses, or find someone who could help me find their email addresses. i usually send them an email asking if they would like to meet me for coffee or something, and then maybe write a rec or even a letter of intro for me. everyone i have actually gotten a reply back from has been more than willing to help!

CutiePie, Knoxville doesn't have an alumnae panhellenic. She could call UT's Panhellenic Affairs Office and see if they have any advice.

Cool

Shoot RedFox, go for it, if you check the Alum Thread Site, you will find the New AI's who have been members of GC and are new Greeks!

It many times takes longer for AI to become a new member but none the less rewarding!

GO Go Go!!!
