Gonna be a Bridesmaid!!!!!!
I just wanted to share this news with all of you!
Last night one of my ADPi sisters asked me to be a bridesmaid in her wedding this October.
I nearly cried and gave her about four big hugs. I was (and am) so excited, and so incredibly honored.
She asked me to stand up in the form of a note, which she tucked away in her Wedding Planner for me stumble across as we looked through it. At the bottom, she added a quote: "Friends may come & Friends may go, but SISTERS last forever."
Again, as I read this quote, I nearly cried. It just put everything into perspective for me. I am so fortunate to have such wonder women like her in my life. And I am so incredibly lucky to be able to not only call them my friends, but my sisters as well.

That is so sweet. I really hope you have a great time, and your sister has a great wedding!
I'll remember a quote one of my sisters told us once, she said her mom told her that you go to high school to find your friends, but you go to college to find your bridesmaids.

I was the last one asked to be in my best friend from college's wedding. She was all nice at first. . .now, I'm starting to wonder if I sold my soul to the devil.
Her wedding is in June. The entire wedding is on a beach on the Georgia coast. The wedding party is having to travel from Florida, Indiana, Pennsylvania, and New York City to be the wedding.

Oh, she did! They are very classy! The kind I wouldn't be afraid to wear again in the future!

That is really beautiful and really true. I know I already have a couple of my bridesmaids secretly picked out for my future wedding, and they are sisters as well.

Hahaha, I hope that doesn't happen! Luckily, she is getting married locally. So I'm sure that'll play to our advantage.

Sigh...I need to find some worthy bridesmaid candidates! I'm not sure how to prioritize my friends. Plus, I don't want a big wedding party. What to do?

Congratulations!! I know how exciting it is to be a bridesmaid in a wedding. This year four of my friends are getting married and I'm in THREE of the weddings! One in June, one in October, and one in December. It's going to be a crazy year!!

I'm going to be a bridesmaid in the wedding of one of my former roomates. I moved in with this girl and her best friend because I was miserable with my roomates in the on-campus apartments, and they had a vacancy. She (and the other girl) are absoltuely wonderful, and are now two of my best friends.
The wedding is in April, and there's a surprise shower for her on Sunday. I can't wait! This is the dress we're wearing, in a dark lavendar color:

Munchkin: I feel your pain, hon. How do I prioritize my sisters? Even if I went by people in my KD "family" that is still a ton more bridesmaids that I want to have! Here is my (almost) final decision: Keep it to my sister, my cousin, Mr. Mox's sister, and my best friend from hs. And all of my KD sisters will be invited to the wedding

One of my little sisters is getting married this fall and asked me to be one of her bridesmaids. She had so many problems choosing between people that she's ending up with 8 attendants, I think.
It's hard for my group of friends because we really are just a circle of friends. No one really has a "best" friend. I can narrow it down a little more than she has, though. I'm thinking 4 attendants and then everyone else can help out with everything else
