Sigma in Japan

Hi Everyone ~
I'm out here in Japan on the JET Program (Japan Exchange and Teaching Program). Maybe some of you have heard about it? Have any sigmas out there done this?

It's so tough being out here away from all my friends, including my D-Chi boyfriend I left at home. I live in a tiny village out in the middle of nowhere and it's really difficult not having my "sigma support group" to go out with, chat over coffee and lean on when the going gets tough. I'm the only one in my village that speaks English!

Being out here really makes me appreciate the bonds we share and our long lasting friendships. If anyone is interested in learning more about the Jet Program, please drop me a line, I'd be happy to share all my information with you! It's a fabulous opportunity to travel and an outstanding cultural experience....but, it can be lonely at times

Wow, what a great experience! I'm sorry if you're a little lonely, but all your GC sisters are here!!! you can PM me any time and I will do my best to get you some Sigma love over seas. How long will you be gone? you should send me an address, I'm sure my chapter would LOVE to send you something! it's also really nice to get involved in the Rush and Greek life forums here. There are lots of great people and they are all very supportive. Hope things go well!!!

I've been out here almost a year, which is a long time to be away from your friends. If it wasn't for GC keepin' me busy, I think I'd be really lonely and bored. I came onto GC thinking it would be just fun and informative, but I never imagined I could find supportive sisters, too! Your thoughtfulness is greatly appreciated. I can't wait to share more thoughts and stories with everyone on this board....Thanks again and Sigma Love.

GC is the best i have meet so many sigmas. Japan would be an awesome place to visit. One of my best friend is really big in to japanese calligraphy. just to let you know if you need someone to talk to just pm me im always online. i would love to get to know you better. its always kewl to meet new sigmas (well at least new to me)
