Help with Senior Thesis!

I am currently entering my senior year (undergrad), and I'm in the Honors College at my school. It is required that we write a senior thesis, which takes 2 semesters. It can be a paper, a video, a program that is implemented, an artistic work, pretty much anything that is worth 2 whole semesters worth of work. You can also pick whatever topic you want. Considering I am sick of my major, and don't want to do a thesis on it, I thought about doing it on one of my favorite things, my sorority. So I know a topic, but what type of project can I do? I'm also on Panhellenic Council, so I was thinking about maybe doing it on Greek Leadership. Maybe a survey on Greek Unity, and distribute it to all the Greeks...I'm basically lost and my advisor is not giving me any direction. I would appreciate any of your ideas!

As someone who just completed a senior thesis, it's a long, hard road, with much gratification at the end. When I look at my book (it became a book; it's no longer a thesis), I am so proud.

Doing a thesis on Greek leadership sounds really good. You could possibly do it on changing attitudes towards Greek Life (my friend just did a similar thesis on homelessness, and basically gave her controls a neutral essay about homelessness, and the experimental groups a persuasive essay about the homeless situation; and surveyed each group before and after they read the essay.) Depending on the pro/anti-Greek attitudes of your campus, that could be something that had an impact on your university long after you have left.

Best of luck with everything!
