AL: Kansas City (I can dream can't I???)
NL: St. Louis
WS: KC
AL MVP: Mike Sweeny (KC)
NL MVP: Barry Bonds (SF)
AL Rookie:???
NL Rookie:???
AL Cy Young: Zito (OAK)
NL Cy Young: Kerry Wood (CHC)
***These are based on absolutely no research or particular knowledge of current MLB. I personally find MLB to be too pompous and unfair to be enjoyable. I also have to wonder how both players and management can't look at the NFL and say "that's what we should try to be like."
I will not be following MLB this summer to see how my picks work out.

Gonna stick w/ my SF Giants!! I had total faith last season, and even though we didn't make it all the way, 2nd best team in all of baseball isn't bad (neither is NL champs, especially considering all the awesome teams in the NL)... I'm a true fan (not bandwagon, like some, lol)... gonna have to go w/ giants again this season

Re: Baseball picks
American League Pennant:
Boston Red Sox
(playoff teams: NYY, OAK, and MIN - sox win wildcard, take it to house in playoffs)
National League Pennant:
St. Louis Cardinals
(playoff teams: ATL as wc, PHI, LA)
World Series:
the sox in 6 (they'll win it on the road, because they're the sox)
MVP (AL and NL):
AL - Eric Chavez (then Manny, Ja. Giambi)
NL - Albert Pujols (then Thome, Bonds)
Rookie of the Year (AL and NL):
AL - Hideki Matsui (then Josh Phelps, Travis Hafner)
NL - Hee Seop Choi (then Joe Thurston, Jerome Williams)
Cy Young Award (AL and NL):
AL - Mike Mussina (then Pedro, one of the A's)
NL - Kevin Millwood (then Maddox, Johnson/Schilling)
----------
Some dark horses, for Beta, who's delusional about the NFL's salary cap:
-for Cy Young: Watch out for KRIS BENSON - he'll be sick as hell
-the Cubs might be nasty this season - assuming they play the young guys . . . either way, they're no longer the cubbies anymore, they're for real (and for a while)
-the Mets are going to suck (again) - Floyd's exceptionally overrated, and Glavine is only good for about 12 wins anymore. Don't expect Astacio to see the end of the season
-The BoSox will be unreal . . . and will still finish 3 games behind the yankees, who will have 102 wins (sox 99, next closest 95)
-Atlanta is on the way down, too - if they average 4 runs a game, i'll crap myself . . . the Giants probably can't do what they did last year, either

AL: Yankees, white sox, Oakland, Seattle with the wild card.
Yankees
NL: Phillies, Astros, Giants, cardinals for the wild card
Who knows, no real frontrunner in the group, I'll say SF again
Yankees win the world series again.
Cy Young- Pedro, even though he sits the last two weeks of the season to rest after the sox fade from contention.
NL Cy young: Randy Johnson greatest lefty ever

American League Pennant:
Yankees (Sox will be close, as will A's and Twins)
National League Pennant: St. Louis is going to be nasty this year
World Series: Yanks in 6
MVP (AL and NL):
AL - Alfonso Soriano (with Ja. Giambi and Torii Hunter close)
NL - Albert Pujols (with Bonds close behind)
Rookie of the Year (AL and NL):
AL - Josh Phelps (Matsui close)
NL - not sure - Choi possibly (edited to add Marlon Byrd and Lyle Overlay to the mix - both could be nasty)
Cy Young Award (AL and NL):
AL - Mike Mussina (With Pedro close - Mussina's out to prove something after a mediocre year last year)
NL - Randy Johnson (with Schilling close)
