Coming off of hiatus...now what?

Due to some really stressful and unforeseen events this past semester, I went inactive w/ my chapter (but stayed nationally active). I'm planning on re-activating this fall, and I need some advice. Some of the sisters have been kinda chilly w/ me, but the chapter did send me a card a month ago. Most of them had no idea what was up until one of the sisters announced at at meeting that I had been in a car wreck and had surgery all within about a month's time. The president has been trying to get me to come back to meetings this semester, but I really feel awkward because I haven't been contributing anything (time, money, effort). Would it be cool for me to just show up or should I just wait til fall??

Yes, you should come back now! If you don't get "reacquainted", you probably won't have much to do over the summer. And, the anxiety will build up even more.

Hell, easy answer, the hell with the ice berg sisters. You were in a situation that they are damn lucky to have not been in!

You have every right to come back as a True Sister. Do not back off, you have paid your dues and desearve everything that you should get!
