For those who RUSHED last year....

I was looking through the RUSH forum and saw some of the girl's old threads about their RUSH experiences.

So for those GC Chi Omegas who rushed last year, how are things going in your chapters? Give us an update

Well, as you might remember, I rushed in the spring so I haven't had as long as an experience in Chi Omega as those who did fall rush. However, I still love being a Chi Omega soooo much! I've been participating in whatever I've been able to so far and have been getting to know so many girls! I feel bad because I still don't know a lot of them or just don't remember their names, but the older girls in the house told me not to worry, that it still happens to them too! There wasn't any space in our house for spring pledges to live, but I still plan on living in probably junior year, maybe just spring semester of this next year. I really want to get involved and was thinking about an exec position too...I've been so inspired by our pledge educator that if I decide it's right for me, I'm going to try to run for that position when elections come around. I've come to know and love such an excellent sisterhood, and I want to get involved as much as I can in Chi Omega!

That's the kind of motivation we like to hear about I'm glad things are going well for you and that you're excited to get involved. Remember though that getting involed exceeds Chi Omega...Chi Omegas should get involved outside of the sorority too so you can keep that "well roundedness" and spread the Chi Omega good name

We are getting ready for recruitment in our BRAND NEW HOUSE We'll be having retreat there and I am super excited. Have I got all my clothes? Just about. I'm nervous about going through on the "other side" especially since my big and grand-big are all dissaffiliated but I will have my little. My little is actually older than me but hey I am older than my big so it's a traditon now... Can't wait for August

i rushed in fall 2002 and was initiated into theta zeta chapter this past january along with 15 other girls from my new member class!! im so proud to be a member of this sisterhood and to call all these girls my sisters! im fortunate to come from a smaller chapter (i think we can only have like 60 girls max) since my school is small, because we all know each other so well and are close. spring rush was fun because it gave all of us new initiates a better understanding of what it was like to be on the other side of things. we initiated the spring new member class already and are so proud of all our baby owls!! i cant wait til fall recruitment!!
