Question Bangs

I doubt I'll get them, but I have thought about it over the last two years. I had them when I was four, but not since then.

What do you all think of them?
Do you have them?
Do you like them?
Are they THAT much of a pain to grow out?

I have had bangs (of varying lengths/thicknesses) since I was 3. Since I posess a large forehead, I will have them until I am 103.

I personally hate them. I had them when I was younger and it took me FOREVER to grow them out.
Now the closest I get to bangs is an angle in the front that starts a little below my chin, so I can still put it up.

The angle gives it volume and makes it look nice when its all blowdried and straight.

I haven't seen many people with bangs in a very long time. Its just so much easier to maintain all one length hair

Don't Cut them! I hadn't had bangs since I was a little kid. A few months ago I got the bright idea to cut them and I hate it. Now I am trying to grow them out and it is the biggest pain. No matter what you try to do with them they just get in the way and look awful why you are trying to grow them out.

My roommate still has what I can only describe as "mall bangs".

She, her mother, and her sister have had the exact same haircut for 10 years.

Everyone thinks she looks pretty ridiculous.

Unless your face is built to carry off those long whispy bangs, I say no.

See, that's what I'm afraid of...that I'll hate them and then they'll take forever to grow out. I have long hair, so it will take forever to catch up.

I'm sorry you are unhappy.
Be patient, you'll get there.

See, I was thinking Penelope Cruz type of bangs.
But, my forehead is larger than hers (I think...I'm pretty sure), so I don't know that I can pull that off.

Ah, Prince Valient, (Tony Curtis) looked cute in Bangs!

Hell wait till you have to comb/brush your hair that way to cover your wrinkled forehead.

Or the other way back to cover the skin in the middle of your haead as there is none there!

OOOOOOOOOOH! Damn!

Oh, at age xx I still have a head of hair, and now Bangs! Well on Sun. morning after a salon cut, like the Ceasure look!

Dont have to brush it!

Good idea, Tom.
Perhaps I will wait until I'm older so I can hide my wrinkled forehead.

I've had bangs on a few occasions, and have regretted it every time. I find it very annoying to have hair in my face, especially when working out. Also, they don't stay where you want them -- if I'd walk anywhere, by the time I got there, they'd always be parted in the middle like curtains and I'd have to fix them.

Right now, I'm growing out what was very super short hair, and the part that used to be bangs is now ALMOST long enough to put behind my ears. I can't WAIT until it gets longer because it is just maddening! Don't do it!!!

That's one of my concerns. I do not have straight hair. In fact, I have wavy hair and I think it's safe to assume that if I cut my hair, and continued to live in Florida (or any humid place) , that I would have quite wavy/curly hair.

That said, if I cut bangs, I think they might curl, which would defeat the purpose in getting them in the first place (to achieve that polished look). Curly bangs do not equal polished look!
