WAR and a drinking game
so i'm a lil fucked up. and tonight me and a few of my bros made a new drinking game...
we turned on cnn, made vodka slurpies, and drank every time we heard the word iraq, baghdad, forces, troops, fire/guns/misles/etc., we also would drink every time they showed a tank or gun fire. it was funny as fuck. we got to learn about the war and get shitty at the same time.
good shit...

Not that far removed from the infamous Gulf War drinking game except for a few buzzwords common to Gulf War II. Better put your reservations in for the porcelain bus!

Wow... I'm glad you find that funny, cuz I definately don't.
Hey yall let's watch The Ten Commandments and everytime Moses is said, we'll drink.
That's almost sacreligious.

Agreed... I'd rather play a drinking game based on some mindless classics such as the James Bond films (Sir Sean Connery preferred). The Ten Commandments, Ben-Hur, and The Greatest Story Ever Told are wholly unsuitable for drinking games.
I don't think josh8o and his brothers were making fun of the war; they were making fun of the media circus reporting on the war.
Considering the endless repetition of news clips, 'breaking news', retired general/ field grade (Major-Colonel)/ company grade officers (2Lt -Captain) pundits second-guessing the powers that be at CENTCOM, along with civilian and military specialists that sometimes talk out of their a**, 'embedded' reports from the front, it's no wonder the media coverage degenerated into a drinking game.
(300 + posts and counting... woo-hoo! )

Actually, if you drank every time Anne Baxter overacts, The Ten Commandments would outdo "Hi Bob" in drinking game potential.

I thought you were going to say that you played the card game WAR and drank to that. I've actually done that but I think watching and drinking to the war is sorta lame. Glade ya had fun I suppose.

Don't forget to drink every time they use the phrases "weapons of mass destruction," "anti-war" or "embedded."

That's a great Idea. I want to get the one to the movie where Wilem Dafoe is Jesus. My room mate looks like him, and I think it would be funny.

The Last Temptation of Christ is a great movie, and very haunting and thought-provoking, but not at all funny.
One day at school an ad came on TV for the Jesus of Nazareth miniseries and one of the girls said "this is the one with the hot Jesus." It was just wrong on so many levels, but I can't help but chuckle typing it.

Ironically ...this is the 2nd time in 2days that I have heard of someone making up a drinking game to the war on TV.
A friend of mine and his buddies did the very same thing and told me all about it.
Maybe it will turn into some new trend...who knows
